I leaned against the wall with my ear pressed against it. The shouting that happened between Erana and Kenji was more than I ever expected to hear, but like watching two drunk people in a bar start a fight, I couldn't ignore it.
After a certain point, the screaming died down and simply turned into whispering. I wasn't exactly sure what they were saying, but I know that Erana got the last word in because I heard her voice last before she burst through the door with tears in her eyes.
Erana walked past me without so much as a glance before she stepped into her own room and slammed the door behind her.
I waited for a few moments before I walked up to Kenji's door and listened closely.
…
The room is silent. I suppose he's intentionally making no noise. Maybe that's a good thing…?
As this novel is called "The Elven Estate" I can bet you can all assume where it's going already. Buckle up though because we still have some stuff to take care of!
Catch you on the flip side!
P.S. If you're in the mood for something else, check out The Legendary Junkmaster or My (Monster?) Hero Life. They’re both written by a guy named Antihero who is a really nice guy. He helped me a lot with Webnovel and his writing is very high quality. Give him a look please!
