Capítulo 274: You Don't Get It

"Before I forget, what did you say to Ethan about being his dad? He claimed that you said you could be his dad if he wanted you to be. Is that true?" Claire demanded. 

Alex shrugged but still wouldn't meet her eyes. "It was at the Halloween carnival. Ethan told his teacher I was his dad because he felt awkward about not having parents like everyone else. I asked him about it afterwards and that's what he said. 

"We're family anyway so I didn't think it would be a big deal for him to think that but after he told me what happened on your date I realized I said the wrong thing. I'm sorry. I said it to make him feel better but I wouldn't have if I knew it would cause you trouble." 

She sighed heavily. So that was what happened.
