Capítulo 148: Sound Off

Claire had been on the verge of a nervous breakdown all night. So when she finally spotted a group of black-clad people—some of which were rather short—she heaved a sigh of relief. They nearly made it. 

Alex's check-ins had been somewhat inconsistent but at least she never had to call him. The worst hadn't happened. Their insane plan had actually worked!

She had been idling by the curb for about ten minutes now just out of sight with her headlights turned off so it wouldn't be as obvious she was there. She felt like such a criminal right now. 

Only drug dealers drove with their headlights off! Or so she had heard. She didn't know any drug dealers. 

When Claire saw the group break into a sprint she unlocked the car and threw the door closest to them open. The first inside was a Hispanic preteen girl. Despite her shaved head she still had a feminine face.
