Tim's face darkened. He threw his manners out of the window. He slammed his clenched fist on the table.

"I should not have trusted you. Lei, escort Cess to her room. We are done eating."

Lei was about to stand up when Liam spoke again. "I am not asking you three any favor to bring your father back. Please sit and listen to what I am going to say."

Tim frowned. 

What was she up to?

Lei looked at his brother. He and Cess obviously wanted to listen yet they were afraid that their mother would say something that would crush the little hope in their hearts.
