Capítulo 12: Chapter 10: I Will Protect You
Sophie was struggling to walk away from people who cause only troubles in his ordinary life. She can't endure the pain anymore, it was more than of physical injury because of Yhen.
Sophie was stumbled when she accidentally glid into the post she's holding to.
"Please, take this unbearable pain away!" Sophie lowered her head down, embracing her bended knees.
She smacks her chest frequently because of pain. Sophie managed to stand again. Of course, Xian will never follow a woman who's blind and have nothing.
Sophie wiped her wet and messy face, she stood up trembling and shuddering. She touches everything and holds it, as support.
Sophie was striving to run away as fast as she could. While Yhen and Xian are still arguing.
"Let me go, Yhen!" Xian yelled, trying to get off from Yhen's tight embrace. She was too stubborn and rebellious.
Yhen hugs him either as she could, she doesn't have any plan to let Xian follow Sophi, the blind. "You will stay here, either you like it or not, Xian!" She told him aggressively.
"Damn! I said, let me go!" Xian accidentally moves backward that made Yhen fell into the ground. He was surprised and shocked, hurting Yhen is not his intention. He is just clearing things out before it becomes worse or even worst.
Yhen she burst into tears, her friends were in shock too. "Yhen!" Zuzi said, she helped Yhen to stand but Yhen slammed her hands off.
"What are you doing to me, huh? I've been admiring you since we're in 7th grade but until now you never learned to love me, for goodness's sake Xian! Tell me! Just tell me what I'm supposed to do for you to love me back!" Yhen shouted at Xian who's can't believe what he's done.
He remained standing, nervous, and worried about Sophie.
"Sophie!" Xian mumbled her name again.
"Sophie! Sophie! Every one of you always uttered that blind's name! Can someone enlighten me here and tell me why?" Yhen, in a prowl way, she stood up and stand firmly. Like she can't accept that she failed for the nth time against Sophie.
"Let's stop this, Yhen!" Zuzi shouted.
"Shut your mouth up, Zuzi!"
Zuzi steps back, she's afraid of Yhen. Well, literally because of her power and money. In one snap, everything she has will vanish.
Nowadays, people can treat a person pleasingly it is because they can get and they can use that person for their personal intentions. It is a win-to-win situation, to be certain. Yhen have friends because she's powerful and have a lot of connection and so her friends.
"We don't have anything to be discussed here, anymore. This is my life, and I will pursue what I want to do so." Xian emphasizes every word he says. Definitely, he's right, no one can stop you from pursuing and following what your heart asks for.
Xian turned his back and angrily walked away from a desperate girl, Yhen. He only took a few steps when Yhen follows him.
"Please, I'm begging you! Don't do this to me, Xian!" She knelt down, trembling, crying desperately.
Yhen will do everything to get things that she wants. Yet, she only thought of herself and her ambitions. She's too selfish and hopeless.
"Stop with your crazy and immature action! You can't change my mind with a cry, and your kneeling down act. I know you very well, Yhen!"
Xian left her hanging and dumbfounded. She only wants to be loved as the way she loves Xian. How could the world be this too unfair for her?
Yhen fall down, heartbroken, and hurt. Her friends follow them, but they saw Yhen punching the floor forcibly.
"Yhen!" Claire and Zuzi exclaimed. They bent and tried to calm her down but Yhen couldn't stop from yelling.
"How could he do this to me! He chooses Sophie more than me, he's unbelievable!" Yhen uttered.
"Yhen, we've telling you to stop but you didn't listen to us! Look what happened!" Daisy told Yhen.
Now, they're blaming each one and other.
"Stop putting the blame on me, Daisy! You can't see me, huh? I am so hurt, and this, " Yhen pointed her chest relentlessly and said, "This is aching if you only knew my pain! If you can't help me, then leave me here alone!"
While Yhen and her friends blaming themselves, Xian looked for Sophie.
"Sophie? Where are you?"
Xian runs as fast as he can and knocks on every room he passed by. "Did you see Sophie walked into this way?" He asked one of the contestants, who's walking with her friend.
The girl shook her head and said, "No. I didn't."
"Thank you!"
Xian clasped his hands and put it at the back of his head. He was so devastated, he's been searching and looking for a girl who can't even see the way.
He thought for a place where Sophie usually standby, "Mini garden!" Xian exclaimed and rashly run off into the said place.
Everyone was shock and awe upon seeing Xian so worried and impatient. Xian didn't even greet nor smiles the teachers he saw.
On the other hand, Sophie was able to walk further when someone helped her.
"Thanks to you, I really appreciate your effort." Sophie bowed, thanking the man who guided and lead the way to her favorite spot.
"No problem. If you need anything, just tell me. What's your name, again?" The man speaks English so fluently. He must be a new student, Sophie predicted.
Sophie giggles and moves her hand in an awkward way and replied, "No, no! Don't bother to help me. I am all right but it's hard for me to walk alone since I can't see the way."
"I am Sophie, anyway, and you?"
The man looked at Sophie and abruptly laugh at her. "Yeah, you're right. You are funny, Sophie!" He's still laughing, but he stops and her face became bold and serious.
"I'm..."
Xian finally reaches the mini garden, found at the back of Art's building. He roamed around, trying to find the elusive blind girl.
He halts from running and sighed deeply. Xian must be tired and wearied, thinking where is Sophie.
"Sophie?" Xian uttered.
From afar he saw her talking with another man, Xian, with no reluctance, he flew towards them.
Sophie was sitting at the bench, and the man was standing facing her. Xian breathes in and out, but still, he managed to compose himself.
"I will protect you, Sophie."
The man told her, and Xian witnesses how Sophie opens her mouth in shock and into her surprise.
Xian remained standing, watching Sophie with another man.
