Capítulo 58: THE PRINCIPLES OF DHARMA
"Such confidential information can only be regarding work which is country. So even I might have come here for my selfishness as of now, but I'll never use it for my selfish deeds.
I'll never misuse the power which I have", Kruthika tried to assure Guruji.
"Okay. But it's difficult it might take several years just for you to reach that stage. So are you ready for the entire basic and advanced course.
And once you step in there is no stepping back. The process demands dedication for whole time, zeal and perseverance.
You have to punish your mind in the process. And it requires certain qualities, character and ethical values which you have to follow till your last heart beat. And you have to follow Dharma* no matter what happens.
So think about it", Guruji said to her.
"What kind of qualities and ethical values does it demand from one, Guruji?", Kruthika asked him.
Shivyogi Guruji searched one book from the shelves in the cupboard on his right.
"It's written in this book. Once you know its complete essence, come to me I'll start the course. Again I'm saying you, once you come here after reading the book there's no step back, you have to reach the stage where you can find the answers by means of meditation. Do you understand?", Shivyogi Guruji said as he gave the book to her and made hand gesture which pointed the fore finger.
"Okay Guruji, I understand. I really need to know answer and I'll do what it demands for me to reach there", Kruthika answered.
She was now much more determined as before.
"You can leave now", Shivyogi Guruji said as he sat in his seat.
Kruthika packed all the letters and the journal in her handbag, held the book against her chest in her hand and went out of the office.
Time was 12:23 in afternoon, she went to her room packed her bag and left the centre.
She reached the Bangalore evening and went to her hostel. Since it was the tea time she went to mess to have some snacks.
She had recieved messages from her friends, the common message was 'Why didn't you attend today's class?', 'Are you not feeling well?'
Varshini, Sunil messaged her, 'If you are not feeling well then we can postpone tomorrow's meeting at Navneet's home!!'
Kruthika felt that she was very lucky to have such friends who care about her. Her lips curved up as she read those messages.
Navneet messaged her, 'I enquired your roommates, they said that you went to your friend's home. Why didn't you say about it to me?'
Her lips which curved up now became flat. She messaged everyone saying, 'I went to my friend's home so I was not able to attend the class'.
For Varshini, Sunil and Navneet she added, 'I'll be present tomorrow for meeting'.
She was tired from journey. She was feeling sleepy but she had many works to finish, to unpack her bag and to safe the letters and journal of Karthik.
When she arranged the things in their original place of all the items in her bag, except book given by Shivyogi Guruji was pending.
Kruthika held the book her hand, of book was 'THE PRINCIPLES OF DHARMA'.
The book was around hundred and fifty pages. Kruthika started to read the book, but it was already time for dinner. She thought of reading the book after having dinner.
Days passed.....
Kruthika was a bit nervous as today was her project presentation and she was the first person to give it. Her legs where shivering and her hands were cold.
"It's okay you are good at it, don't be nervous", said a husky voice behind her, it was Sunil, who wearing formal uniform of the college and was well groomed.
"Thanks. But I still feel nervous", said Kruthika letting a deep sigh.
"Sunil, you don't know her right! No matter how much she'll be prepared for the upcoming exam or seminar, she always feel nervous", said Varshini.
Everyone where dressed in the college uniform which consisted of white formal shirt with black pant and black coat with college logo on the left side chest accompanied with brown with golden dots as tie and cream socks.
After two hours they were done with their presentation and were hanging out in college canteen, discussing about their future.
"I just want to pursue my master's in abroad. I'm thinking of going to UK", said Sunil, he was eating his favourite chocolate sandwich.
"That's great! I'm thinking to give the interviews now, I'm hoping to get to the job as quick as possible. I'm fed up of learning", said Varshini as she bit one stick of French fries it's tip covered in tomato ketchup.
"Hmm!... I would like to pursue my master's in top engineering colleges here in India. I've to think about pursuing my studies overseas since I've to discuss about it with my parents", Navneet said as he sipped juice from the cold drink bottle, "What about you Kruthika?"
"I'm thinking about giving my try to airforce. So I'm not giving any interviews", Kruthika said as she gently scratched her nail against the cup of coffee.
Navneet nearly scoffed the juice which he sipped, Varshini and Sunil were dumbstruck by her answer. She never discussed her future with anyone before, whenever she was asked about the future question she just passed the question saying she didn't knew again what would come in her way.
Ofcourse Kruthika was lying to them as she didn't wanted to disclose about her further plans to them.
"Kruthika, are you sure you want to do that! I mean even after your brother's demise you want to join defence force", Varshini asked her as she caressed her shoulder.
"Kruthika just think, you are the only child left to your parents. Will your parents agree to it?", Navneet asked her, raising his eyebrows.
"Guys, the first thing is I've to undergo physical test and written test, after that an year of training. And based on these results there'll be selection process. Chill do you think that I can sustain all those tests. I'm just giving a try", Kruthika answered as if she is not worried about anything.
"Then why are you not attending any interviews when you are just trying defence entrance?!", Navneet asked her.
"What if I get selected for training period then I've to reject the offer right! Which will sit of embarrassment right! And after training if I'm not detected then I can again attend the interviews as usual without any embarrassment. That's the reason I'm not attending the interviews now", Kruthika answered.
"Anyways, when are you returning to home?", Sunil asked her.
"Tomorrow afternoon.Why?", Kruthika asked him.
"I thought of arranging a party only for four of us. Since you are going tomorrow itself, I've to arrange it tonight. Can you all come tonight for party", Sunil asked everyone.
"Okay, but where?", Varshini asked him.
"Hmm.. In Madhura Hotel!! What do you say?", Sunil asked them.
"Okay, time??", asked Kruthika.
"At seven", Sunil said.
"But it'll be late for me..I mean last time to enter hostel is at 9 at night. I'm sorry you guys enjoy", Kruthika said.
"Kruthika, you can stay with me if it gets too late that night okay. That hotel is near to my house", Varshini said.
Kruthika agreed to it.
