Capítulo 61: Chapter 57: Those who Saves also need Saving
From the way she talked, it was as if she held all the burden of the world in her eyes that looked tired and without life. It was evident that she had been losing sleep but she was surprisingly not skinny. However, Light noticed that she was aware of that sight so she tried to conceal it with her overgrown bangs and smile that was too forced.
"What an odd thing to say--how can I expect you to do that? My bad." Erika said and combed her hair that was almost all tangles.
'No matter how much you hide it, your sadness is still shows' Light thought. "Maybe you are right" he said and laid down the sand, but the sun hurt his eyes.
" now that you mention it- you look familiar... Hmmm... i think i have seen you somewhere" Erika told him and Light looked at her. "But I'm not sure about it." she added. "everything has been about me. Tell me about your pain too."
Light smiled at her. "My pain is nothing. I can get b-"
However, Erika threw a handful of sand in his direction and it made him freeze because that attack was too unexpected and he was unable to even react to it. Erika stood up.
" I hate people who lie in front of me. If you want to lie, don't make it evident! I can see right through you!" she aggressively came closer to Light and pulled him in his collar.
" Why do you have to make me feel your pain? Now I think I don't have the right to be sad anymore because i can feel the terrible sadness you have inside of you! " she let go of his collar and he barely kept his balance. Light studied her. "I can see that you are a good person but why do you have to suffer this badly? Why does good people have to suffer as well?"
" You are getting it wrong. I am not lying." Light said and looked at her face that had been hidden by her hair again.
"I noticed that you are ambidextrous- but it is obvious that you trained yourself to become one. You are right handed--and when you answered me, you looked at your right and that means you are activating the creative side of your brain. Moreover, you adjusted your closing as we speak. It's called grooming and that means that you are experiencing stress as you answered my question." Erika said and turned away from him. "I can see why you are here, trying to listen to all the nonsense I spout. Are you trying to save me?"
Light can no longer look at her because he felt like she could read him even if he tried to lie.
" don't try to save me when you can even save yourself. And who told you that I need fixing? Must be silly humans. "
Light responded to her voice that seemed to echo in his mind and that caused him to look at her involuntarily. However, the sight of her eyes that looked like she hated everything made him take a step back and lose his footing.
" and i don't need saving."
Erika left him and did not bother looking back because people like him are the ones she hated the most.
`I hate you humans.'
She was getting away when she heard aggressive footsteps coming her way. She turned around to meet him with a gaze but it was too late because Light was already in front of her.
"Wha-"
" please don't go." Light was pulling the sleeves of her uniform and was trying to keep her from leaving him on the beach.
"Hey. Let go of me."
" please help me save myself so I can also save other people!"
" What? no."
" please. I want to be able to save you!"
Erika fixed her stance and tapped Light's hands to remove it from her clothing.
" if you are going to do it solely for other people, no. "
Light looked at her as she went abandoning him and he felt worse as she went even further away from him. For some reasons, Erika seemed to be the combination of everyone he'd met as he went on in this world- and that bothered him greatly. Asking for help to someone who also needs help is some kind of torture to the other party, but he realized that before he acted.
'I know it's irrational....'

He started running to catch up with her as she tried hard to set herself free from his irritating persistence. Light knew she was telling her that out of sympathy. He always wanted to look strong to the people he wanted to protect and take care of but Light deep inside was soft and sensitive and easy to be hurt.
"Seriously?! "
He ran to get to her and held her wrists.
" please help me save myself from this hell I have been facing all this time. It's too hard for me . I cannot take it anymore. Please... Please... Please... I don't want to stay in this hell! I want to be with the people I love for longer period of time. I want to be with them as they their succeed! I want to laugh with them! This healing is not only for me but also for all the people I love and cherish the most. I know you cannot give what you don't have and I am stupid for asking you to help a stranger but please help me! I am begging you. Let us heal together. "
" Jeez, stop pestering me Mr. Silver hair- you left me without a choice. Fine! I'm going to help you but promise me to never touch me anywhere. I hate humans like you and it seems like i'm allergic to you."
" I... I promise! "Light said.
" Good. Then tell me about you. "
