Capítulo 556: LOG 5: Wagner City

We were still uncertain of what was wrong with the aristocratic gent and his secretary. Though we admit that they're quite serious in nature, there was a hint of sadness or gloom inside of them. I am earnest to figure why Meloetta would grab the attention of a grown man like him.

Two hours that preceded the battle, the ship's horn blew, signaling our arrival at Wagner City. The breeze from piquant became fresh, the city-like kinda air where there's a splash of food, smoke, and Pokemon scents. Wagner City is somewhat pressed in the corner of a delta or bay, or whatever the difference of both of them is. It is compacted, surrounded with other locales, forest and locations. It was beside Amadeus Town where I was able to glance at for a second before the ship moved forth.

The city was just a classic one, nothing special about it. There's the everyday buildings, houses, maybe some oval shaped theaters and such. Roads were a bit on the dry side, corroding with fainted black colors. They have a Pokemon Center, a mart, a few restaurants and hotels, where I'll be staying temporarily. More or less, I didn't have some kind of "enjoyment" or "excitement" feeling as it just seemed like I'm in a new region.

Upon stepping foot at the piers, me, Dawn, and Logan bade each other a farewell. I wouldn't be seeing their faces, and hopefully not for this whole lone mission. They proposed that both of them travel together and won't do necessary planning of resting for a while in apartments or such. I don't blame them. They're adventurers who seek for journeys.

Meanwhile, without much information on what I ought to be doing now that I'm here, I booked myself in a motel that has four floors. It was a rectangular, bland gray building that looks like one of those construction bricks. Inside, the style was a bit old and uncomfortable. The receptionist was an old lady, there were no plants inside the lobby, had a fountain but was not turned on. To be frank, I've scoured every corner of this city, and this is the best they got so I gotta work with it.

They assigned me on the third floor on Room 43B. Going to the halls is like being inside an abandoned hospital or asylum. Lights flickered, doors were rusty and even screeched. The tiles were also black and white.

In my room is a faded pink colored wall, a small squeaky bed, a round table, a showering area, a little space for the kitchen with a broken microwave. Had no television though, only a radio.

"I guess it's not that bad." I told myself and placed down my luggage. First thing I did was to booth up the radio. It redirected me to this classy musical stuff with the same soothing instruments they used from those that I heard from the cruise.

I jumped into the bed and dust flitted the place. By now, I was hoping Madam Iris would call me sooner or later so I could get to my mission. My phone's dead so I had to charge it, including the Rocket holographic telecom system.

I went to my window and unfurled the curtains to observe the streets. There were kids running around at the left, an exact replica of what I said at the right, and pretty much in every direction.

"There doesn't seem to be any police here," I mumbled and closed the curtains.

I tried using their shower. The water was extremely cold but still, Seafoam's was worse than this. I didn't know if what was coming out of the shower head. It was sluggish liquid, like water in the middle of an ice phase and liquid phase or like putting a soda in a freezer and taking it out only to see some smushy potato ice stuff had formed.

Maybe it wasn't water. My back was starting to itch thereafter. It felt uncomfortable so I had to use antipuritic cream. Back then when I thought there were no police officials, I opened my window again and was proven to be wrong. An auto rickshaw came by and approached two of the citizens.

They had with them a paper of which they presented to the individuals. I had to know what was going on so I used my binoculars to zoom into them. The picture seemed to have an R logo. Obviously, it meant Team Rocket but why would they be looking for a member here in this region? Worse, these guards were the supreme ones, with all those heavy armor and shields and batons.

"The mission wasn't halted wasn't it? Giovanni abandoned it and the members who were so-proclaimed to be dead, are actually alive, aren't they? That lying douche," I said softly.

The men shook their heads and the police went away. There are serious problems going on or else, it would be the typical officers who are looking for them.
