Ah, another winter hiding in summer for the city of Snowpoint, and the first thing I came across was the news report about the events that took place yesterday evening, about two gym leaders who tried to take down a Team Galactic Headquarters. Luckily, no one was injured and our gym leader is safe at home, playing somewhere in the snowy trees.
Meanwhile, I lied quiet in my room, just staring at the ceiling while thinking of what to do next. On the other hand, Vizion and his right-hand Copper were discussing details about our next mission and it has been days since they were discussing it. We've learned the enemies of our motives and even know, we're still stuck with planning as they try to figure out how to capture at least one of the Lake Guardians.
Suddenly, from my door someone decided to knock, the knock was vigorously and can only hint it was the twins who are responsible for all of this. I opened my room, greeting them with a smile as they greeted me back with a Cheshire smirk. Something must be up because they rarely ask any help from us.
"We're bored, Ms. Luna." Faith started the conversation.
"And, what do you want me to do?" I felt lazy for I knew they were planning to make me their babysitter.
"Can you come with us to the lake? Please? I heard there are really cool Pokemon, and I and Minun want to check it out." Grace begged with her baby doll eyes and I knew I can't just resist those. They are of Jenny's and Charlotte's, very attention-grabbing. I slammed the door shut, and it did give the twins a frown but then, I opened it again, fully dressed and ready to go to another adventure but this time, with the twins.
We left headquarters for a moment, an hour will be enough to cure the boredom of these two adorable twins. Plus, it is my second time to visit the lake of Acuity, and the last time I visited it was when Emily was sobbing. During the daytime, the lake is at its purest for one could see their reflection if they were to look at it. Although, the reflection might be a bit wiggly for the currents are strong during this kind of hour.
I sat by the tree while watching the twins throw stones at the lake. I remember doing that in my bathtub at Saffron City, competing with my mother to see who would throw the farthest but that was when I was still two years old. During that time, bathtubs are gigantic. Watching them got boring so I stretched my arms, giving out a deep yawn as I leaned my back on one of the trees.
I decided to close my eyes for a moment or two, to enjoy the serene calmness this lake has to offer while the twins play nearby. Heh, who said being a baby-sitter is that hard? It's been eight minutes and not a single trouble was caused. I finally fell upon the spell of slumber, and there I heard a yell, two to be exact which completely awakened me.
"For Pete's sake." I sighed and facepalmed, seeing the twins had entered another argument. I guess I was proven wrong and I do hope whatever they're quarreling about will be easy to solve.
"What happened?" I asked with a lazy voice.
"Faith took my stones!"
"No, you took it! Because of you, they fell to the water. Now I can't get it." Faith countered her sister's words, she was in complete denial.
"Now, now. There are other ways to solve this, why don't you just find another stone?"
"But we want our stones back." Faith complained again.
"Yes, those stones are special to us," Grace added. Their lips were wrinkled, their eyes were about to puke out all the tears at me.
"Hey! I know, why don't you follow me and I'll give the two of you something that can definitely cheer you up." then, an idea struck in, a perfect idea that never manages to fail me during the times I experience a heated argument, disappointment, or even grief. The perfect cure, the thing that could end all things!
I ran, the twins were following from behind as we traveled to the market square. During our arrival there, I slowed my pace as I observed each stall precisely until I found the particular one. Upon seeing it, my eyes were quickly mesmerized and the twins still couldn't guess what on Earth I'm trying to do.
"Wait over here," I instructed strictly as I left them on the other side of the road. They're twelve, they can probably handle themselves. It's not like they're going to get kidnapped or something. They patiently wait, sitting on the road while grooming their Minun and Plusle. Fortuna never told me about not letting their clothes get dirty so I think that would be fine and we have a washing machine back in headquarters in any way.
After buying something for them, and of course, me included, I returned to their side of the road and noticed they were still there. I'm right, there's no way they could get kidnapped in such a pleasant city with a low crime rate.
"Ms. Luna, what did you get us?" the twins asked, enthusiastic to know what items I was holding behind me.
"A simple, great, and satisfying thing. It can end any arguments in a single go, and can quell any anger. I present to you, the orange juice and it's my favorite one aside from yours." and at that moment, I revealed the cure, giving them one box of orange juice each, and the last one is for me of course.
They were in the seventh heaven as they took a sip from the juice. I knew my plan would work, it always does. Plus, they forgot about their stones, and will probably never remember that those stones have sunk to the bottom of the lake.
"It's yummy. Thank you Ms. Luna!" the twins greeted.
"You're welcome. Now, let's return to the lake shall we?"
"Righty right!" Faith beamed with the most exuberant spirit I've ever seen in my life, surpassing Jenny's and Charlotte's.
