43.09% POKEMON: BLAST OFF! / Chapter 261: EPISODE 41: Defense and Attack!*

Capítulo 261: EPISODE 41: Defense and Attack!*

Unlike others, our battlefield is located outdoors. Instead of the classic arena ambiance, ours is more similar to those found outside Pokemon Centers. The ground is drawn with a white chalk to create the outline of the battlefield. It is made out of pure soil with only two lamps serving as our source of light.

It is the tenth of the sixth hour, the sky is glowing an orange hue as the sun watches one final match before its sleep. Though for others this might be the calling of the forty winks, for us this is the opportunity to show powerful we women are. With full resoluteness, the clock passes another minute and the place fills in with silence in which only our heartbeat can be heard. Although aware of how terrible I am, I plan to use what I have learned when watching the match against Roxanne and Logan.

Luna and Zeal= 00+00 (4 Pokemon remaining)

Vizion and Copper= 00+00 (4 Pokemon remaining)

"Roserade, it is time to battle!"

"Lily, I choose you!"

"Magmortar, turn up the heat!" Copper sends out his Pokemon. Magmortar is a large, vaguely humanoid, red-and-yellow-striped Pokémon with an egg-shaped body. It has pink lips on its dark face. It has yellow, tubular arms with a black "band" on both and three small claws on the black part of each "hand". Its legs are small in proportion to its body with pink thighs, red feet, and black shackles around the ankles. It has one large yellow flame on its head, as well as large red flames on its shoulders and tail. Additionally, it has four pink spikes on its back.

"Magnezone, you're up!" Vizion sends out his Pokemon in a flawless manner. Magnezone's evolution is theorized to have been caused by a special magnetic field that changed the molecular structure within its body. Magnezone is a seemingly-mechanical, genderless creature, but it has emotions, a way of reproducing, and the need for nourishment. With its magnets, it has the ability to control anti-gravity and float through the air at will.

Without another moment to lose, the battle begins!

"You can have the first move." Copper offers to us.

"Quit trying to be a gentleman. You might end up regretting it." Zeal teases back.

"Alright then, you snooze you lose! Magmortar, Fire Punch on Roserade!"

"Magnezone, boost your powers! Electric Terrain!" commands, Vizion. In one blink everything turns into yellow. The trees, the environment, the sea, and sky, I thought I was hallucinating but everything has to do with the move. Electric Terrain boosts electric attacks once used in battle.

<Rose! Rose!>Like a humble flower, the Pokemon twirls and doges the attack without the assistance or command of her trainer. (Zeal's Roserade is a feminine) No matter how hot the opponent is, Roserade maintains it cool and calm. Ah, what an inspiration for me.

"Magnezone now use Thunder on Liligant!"

"I guess that is our cue, Lily, solar beam!"

<Liligant! Lili!> She accepts the attack, just like how things should be. One more turn and the solar beam will be ready in no time.

"This is your opportunity to strike! Roserade double hit!" At that perfect moment in which Roserade is behind Magmortar after dodging a fiery punch, Roserade quickly tilts her body towards the giant beast and punches its abdomen twice. It was indeed a pain in the back for Magmortar.

"Magnezone follow up with Thunder Wave!" An outburst of electricity succumbs both of our Pokemon. I was in a panic after the attack settled revealing two of our Pokemon has been paralyzed. According to the Pokedex, that is what the move intends to do in the first place.

"Is that all ya got? Roserade, aromatherapy!" Zeal chuckles, still confident despite the current status condition. In a blink of an eye, the paralysis succumbing to our Pokemon has been cured, restoring hope. Now that is done, Liligant unleashes the power of the sun to Magnezone, dealing quite the damage.

"That is it! Flash Cannon Magmortar!" frustration is present in Copper's face. As for his Pokemon, it points one of its large pipe thingies towards Roserade as it sends all its power to the pipe. Roserade was unaware.

"Lily! Save her, use sleep powder!" In a nick of time, the powder was able to enter Magmortar's nostrils. First, it twirls like a controlled monster as its eyes slowly close, entering a deep slumber and calming down its attack.

"Good grief." swears, Copper, seeing his Pokemon all asleep. In his loudest voice, he scolds his Pokemon, trying to awaken it from its slumber. Although despite all his hard work, he ended up failing and Magmortar continued slacking.

"Now that it is asleep, it's time to handle Magnezone! Quick Roserade, use double hit!"

"Time to finish this, Petal Blizzard!"

Two attacks coming at once, will Magnezone be able to dodge all of it, or will Vizion reveal one of his sneaky tricks? The answer's to come!
