After leaving Officer Aragon's office, Daniel headed straight to his own office. There he met his secretary who greeted him with a smile.

Cassandra had worked in that office way before Daniel. In fact, she had also been the secretary of the former head lawyer that worked before him.

He had shared a neutral relationship with this secretary of his and he would often smile back at her in the morning as a greeting.

In a way, that was already the kindest interaction that Daniel ever had with his colleagues.

However that day, Daniel did not smile back at Cassandra and he just walked past her as though he did not saw her in the first place.

Cassandra, on the other hand, did not take the other party's lack of response to the heart for she knew that her boss was probably facing trouble as of the moment, big trouble at that.
