Capítulo 37: Chapter 36.
Ellie and Remy looked at each other. She was at a loss of how to feel. On the one hand she was ecstatic about the fact that Asmodious was coming home and that he had found the king, maybe they could put an end to all this. On the other hand she might not be able to see Remy like this anymore, in fact if everything ended he would no longer need to protect her therefore there would be no need for him to stay by her side. She felt despair at the thought. She didn't want everyone's efforts to go to waste because of her selfishness so she forced a smile upon her face thanked him and quickly turned away desperate to hide her tears. She proceeded into the livingroom and began to clean and scrub in order to take her mind off things. She had no idea how long she had been at when the sun began to set. She looked up and realised Remy had been watching her this whole time.
"Feel better?" he asked
"Yes. I do." She nodded.
"I thought you would have been thrilled that Asmodious is coming back I didn't expect you to be upset." he said. His face was unreadable.
"I'm afraid. I'm afraid if what will happen..." She sighed. She dare not finish the sentence confessing she was afraid he would leave her.
He gave an exasperated sigh. Smiled and embraced her. His warm presence soothed her troubled heart.
"No matter what I will be beside you. I made a promise. Besides...." he held her at arms length looked at her face the swooped in gently pressing his lips against hers. It was like an electric shock traveling through her body. It gave her a warm tingly feeling throughout. She felt so happy that she closed her eyes and prayed for that moment never to end.
"Cough...Cough...should I come back later..."
They both broke apart suddenly and Remy turned his angry face to the intruder whilst pulling Ellie behind him to protect her. His face instantly softened as the both recognised the owner of the voice....James.
He had an awkward look on his face as if he had witnessed something naughty.
"I've come to take you both to the church. Miranda sent me..." His voice trailed off.
He kept looking around. Anywhere but at them.
"Go pack. We will leave soon." he smiled gently at her but he couldn't change the tightness she suddenly felt in her chest.
"Wait there." His voice was cold towards his brother but Ellie detected his frustration.
They packed and were ready to leave in the space of ten minutes. Remy held her hand and they followed James. They travelled into the night following a glowing light orb that James had produced until they reached a familiar sight...The church
