Capítulo 28: Chapter 27
Ellie couldn't breathe. The darkness was suffocating. Her body was being shook, a large burst of light entered her body filling up her lungs giving her breath. She screamed and forced herself upright. Her eyes opened. She was outside smoke billowing out of the church and Asmodious stood next to her with a look of concern. Ellie took a moment to gather her thoughts and take in her surroundings. The church was blackened and smoke still lingered. Had there been a fire? Remy was glaring at her. Miranda and the boys were standing wrapped in blankets. What happened? Wait, could it be..her...dream?
"What's going on?? What happened??"
Ellie began to feel frantic. A glowing light caught her off guard it was coming from her hand. It was the cresent moon. but it was no longer black but instead a pale blue. What was happening!!!!
"Calm down child. You are safe."
Asmodious strode forward calmly and grabbed her hand in his covering the light completely. He nodded to Miranda who took the boys and left, he pressed Ellie's head to his chest so she wouldn't see. He slowed his breathing in an attempt to calm her panicked,shallow breaths. It worked she began to calm down. Ellie felt the weight of everything lift from her shoulders. The panic that she experienced was gone and she felt weightless. She had felt this before. Asmodious was placing a relaxing spell on her. He lifted her into his arms and began walking through the forest. Ellie couldn't see where they were going only that it took some time and the cold breeze had the smell of the sea upon it. Asmodious sat her down inside a wooden cottage, her body was limp and she couldn't move, she was only barely aware of what was around her. Remy and Asmodious kneeled in front of her and each grabbed a hand to exam it.
"This is worse than I could have ever imagined, these symbols are absorbed into her body. This is very worrisome..." Asmodious rubbed his brow, his black eyes tired as the full impact of what he suspected hit him.
"Asmodious...This is similar to your suspicion?"
"No....it's much worse."
They both looked at each other and then at Ellie. What was to happen now? There was not much time left they had to figure out a path and soon.
