The cool breeze slipped in through the tiny opening of the windows, making Shouko shivered slightly. It brought along drops of rain with it. She quickly ran to close the windows of their bedroom.
"I hope he would be home soon," She muttered softly. Her eyes went to the dark clouds billowed on the sky as rain falling down to the ground.
It was already 8:30 PM. By now, Kyoya would already arrive home yet there was still no sign of him. Thinking back of the headlines she saw on the Internet today, it was possible if he was still caught up with his work.
She was also worried about him.
As true to her promise to appease the man earlier, Shouko prepared the soup base for the hot pot. Unsweetened soy milk was used for the broth. Once the creamy and savory hot pot was filled with various ingredients, the taste would be exquisite!
It's hard for me to express properly what I felt in this chapter. The uncertainty that has been built up inside him was what made him appeared so vulnerable right now.
I hope you'd get the essence of what I'm trying to portray.
If you're exhausted, it's okay to take a step back to loose your tension. You're human. It's completely okay to show your weak side to the ones you loved ;)
