When she went back to her room Shu Ya's face again became motionless.
Weiling saw the change and sighed deeply. ''Miss can be so cute when she wants, why are you again so serious?''
Shu Ya looked at her seriously. ''You don't understand. If those people don't get proper food and they paid good money, they might get some strange ideas. There are so many people that have lots of money with them on this ship. We need to be careful and careful many times more than anyone else. We have just two servants and two guards. If they attack us, can we be protected?''
Weiling became silent. She realized the severity of Shy Ya's words. ''So what shall we do now?''
Shu Ya became quiet and then got an idea. ''Call our guard. Tell him I want to invite the two gentlemen that we sold beds to my room for a tea.''
Weiling quickly rushed to the door and gave the order to the guard and then went back to Shu Ya. She could see her have a mysterious smile on her lips so she just stopped asking. If she wanted to tell her she would have done that already. So Weiling didn't ask, no matter how curious she was.
Shu Ya just sat by the window and watched outside. Water, sky, few birds and couple clouds that hung on the sky like cotton bits and balls. ''Weather is truly perfect, but I feel sleepy. How weird.''
Not long after a slight knock on the door could be heard. ''Miss, the two gentlemen are here.''
She sighed and stood up. ''Come in and bring them with you.'' He understood her words so he opened the door and let them in. then closed as he entered as well.
the two young men looked at her with amusement. This child is truly interesting. ''Miss Bai.'' They bowed.
She politely bowed as well and pointed with her hand towards the chairs by the table. ''Please sit down. Uncle Ko gave me some good tea and I think you would know better is it good tea or is it just tea water.'' Her words were playful enough to make both men chuckle.
When they sat down Weiling slowly filled their cups with tea and stepped behind Shu Ya. She had completely motionless expression making the two men feel strange. They were used to have many females wooing them, but these two... They looked at Shu Ya's straight face and then at Weiling and thought to themselves. Like mistress same the servant.
Shu Ya could see their eyes swiping at her and Weiling but chose to ignore it as she needed these two people right now.
She rose her head from her tea and looked at them. ''My family members live in another province. And the two of you said you need to go there. If its possible, can you give me a few pieces of information as I never lived there.''
They nodded politely. ''Ask.''
''Tell me about wheater there?'' That question bothered her as they went closer to their destination.
''In summer is warm and comfortable, but in winter it is harsh. The winters are long and cold. We hope you brought enough warm clothes.'' They could see her wearing simple cotton clothes.
She smiled. ''I have. Thanks for your advice. Now tell me about nature. Are there forests or is it sand, stones? What kind of plants can survive and what kind of animals?''
The two men looked at each other and sighed. ''There are lots of bushes and grasses. Wide fields of grass, so mostly sheep, goats and such can survive that place. About plants... We plant rice as well, but the quality and quantity are barely enough to survive and if there is long winter, many people die.''
Shu Ya knew from the first moment he said bushes and grass that rice wouldn't be able to survive. The climate is probably too cold. ''This is the last ship to the north before winter. When we arrive, will it be cold?''
The two young men shrugged. ''It is cold, but no snow. Maybe rains. If we are lucky it will be dry weather. But that could mean long and cold winter. Miss, if you don't have enough warm clothes I would recommend getting out in next town and buy more warm clothes.''
Shu Ya nodded. ''Thank you. I probably will. Next town... Could you tell me what can we buy there?''
They got still for a moment and then started recounting. ''Silk, cotton, linen, furs are too expensive there. Then there is good rice there, vegetables and many strange things as many foreigners come and visit that place.''
Shu Ya nodded. ''I have no idea how long we will be anchored at that place.''
''I think we will arrive in the morning day after tomorrow and will leave the day after. So you will have a whole day to walk through the town.'' They spoke a bit more but they saw that she had no other questions and excused themselves and left.
When they were further away one of the men turned around and smiled. ''Indeed interesting child.''
Neither she or her servants gave them any face or tried to get on their good sides. Their clothes were the best quality silk, their manners amazingly good and they look... But those two women didn't even twitch while talking to them, completely ignoring any of their good points.
Shu Ya looked at the door and turned her eyes toward Weiling. ''Call the guards and servants. We need to prepare.''
Weiling quickly called the guard to get the servants as well and waited for them to come while Shu Ya looked at the small waves that ship made in steady seawater. Wave after wave appeared on sid of the ship and floated away in the vastness of the ocean.
Everything has a cause. She is already here and no matter what she does, she will cause butterfly effect. Should she try to avoid it or should she just accept everything?
Knock on the door made her snap our of daze and she called. ''Come in, all of you.''
