Capítulo 37: Ch.37 School pt.2
I looked to see who it was, it was Zack. I stayed silent and turned my attention back to my locker.
"Where have you been these past few days?" Zack asked me.
I looked at him again.
"Why does it matter." I said in a weak tone and shut my locker. Why was I being so cold to him!
"Myira I-"
"MONSTER!!"
Zack was interrupted by a scared kid. I turned to look behind me at the kid. The girl breathed heavily and her eyes with a frightened look in them. She drew in one big breath and fell to the floor, she had fainted.
Many kids rushed to her side other rushed to the nurse. I looked at the girl on the floor the word 'MONSTER' rang over and over in my head, I dropped my stuff and fell to my knees crying, my heart racing. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Myira? Myira!" Zack called to me.
I didn't move, I couldn't, my body wouldn't let me. 'Is this what it is like to have a panic attack?' I thought. I felt a hand on my arm pulling me up, I looked up to see who was touching me it was Zack, he lead me towards the front door, brought me outside and sat me down on a bench. After I sat down I began to sob more and more. Zack sat down next to me.
"Hey shhh. It will be alright." he said in a gentle tone while rubbing a hand along my back.
"I don't understand WHY! Why do I have to be the different one, the one that everyone will have nightmares about!" I managed to get out.
"Hey! That is not true!" Zack said wrapping his arm around me and pulling me closer to him, his face was now next to mine.
I removed my hands from my eyes and brought them to my lap. Out of the corner of my eye I could feel Zack's eyes studying my face. With the opposite hand he wiped a tear from my face, I looked at him and smiled wiping more tears from my face. Soon he stood.
"Come on let's go." Zack said gently.
"I am not going back in there." I said trying not to start crying again.
"I am not going back in there either, that is why I am going to take you home." he said kindly.
I looked at him blankly and stood up. We crossed the street and headed toward my apartment...
