Capítulo 21: Two Symbols
When Detective Naomasa heard what All Might said he was shocked.
"You want Kei to inherit One For All" said Detective Naomasa surprised at what he had heard
"Yes" said All might as he continued "I believe he is more than capable to inherit One For All"
After a few moments of silence, All Might asked "what do you think, Tsukauchi"
"I agree that Kei is more than capable to inherit One For All" said Detective Naomasa
"So I am asking you, his parent, do I have your consent to pass One For All to him" asked All Might with a serious expression
"Of course you have my permission All Might" said Detective Naomasa with a smile on his face
"Now that I have your permission. All I need is to ask Kei if he is willing to accept" said All Might as he continued "where is Kei anyway?"
"He went to his friend Shou's house" said Detective Naomasa as he continued "apparently his friends parents had a new prototype of what they have been working on to show him"
"I see, it is good that he is making friends" said All Might with a happy expression on his face
"Yes, Shou had been keis only friend up until a week ago" said Detective Naomasa
"Oh, so he does have more friends" said All Might with a bit of surprise in his voice
All Might had known Kei for quite a while. So he knew that Kei only had Shou as his friend. Knowing that Kei had made a new friend, he was happy that Kei was broadening his circle of friendships.
"Yes, he told me it was a girl that is really into music" said Detective Naomasa while feeling happy talking about Kei
"A girl huh, you sure he might not be attracted to her" said All Might hinting that it might be that
"I would be happy if that was the case" said Detective Naomasa while smiling before he continued "after all, he is at that age when boys start to like girls"
"You are right. If I recall I was about the same age Kei is now when I first had a crush on a girl" said All Might as he remembered his childhood
"Haha, I was a bit older when I had my first crush" said Detective Naomasa as he laughed
As the two continued to talked to each other. They continued to wait for Kei to arrive.

in an unknown location deep underground. A man was lying down on a bed.
All over the mans body were wires to measure his vital signs. His face on the other hand is heavily deformed with what seems like scar tissue from his upper lip to the back of his head and neck. On the mans throat were tubes that seemed to be helping him breathe.
This man was All For One.
At this moment a man in a lab coat made his way towards All For One.
Once the man was next to All For One, he spoke "it is a miracle that I was able to save you"
"How long was I out?" asked All For One in a frustrated voice
"It has been slightly over a year" said the man in a monotone voice
When All For One heard that a year had passed, he was shocked that it had been that long. Not only did he lose a year of his plans but he also lost in his fight with All Might.
Once he thought of his defeat to All Might. He could not help but examine his body.
Once he saw that his injuries were so terrible that it really was a miracle he was alive, he said "to think I would end up in this state"
As All For One continued to ponder over his injuries, he then asked the man "how are the Nomu coming along?"
"We are making great progress on that end" said the man before he continued "in a few more years we should easily have Nomu that can contend with even the top heroes"
"That is good to hear" said All For One in joy
"It will still be a while before you can start moving around" said the man to All For One
When All For One heard from the man that he would not be able to move as he pleased. He started to think on what his next move would be.
After some time, he finally came up with an answer to his problem.
"It seems that I will need to move up a few of my plans" said All For One
"Which plans will we be moving up?" Asked the man with curiosity
"It seems I will need to prepare Tomura sooner than I would have liked" said All For One while thinking of his next moves
"Do you think he is ready?" Asked the man in an unsure manner
"Is he ready, no, not even close to ready" said All For One with a smile
"Then what will you do?" Asked the man
"Simple, if he is not ready. Then I will make him ready" said All For One while smiling even wider than before
"It looks like you have an idea on how to prepare him" said the man as a crooked smile started to spread on his face
"Yes but it will be a while till I start with that plan. For now we will stay hidden for the next couple of years" said All For One as he thought about what the future would bring
"Now tell me, how is our other research going" asked All For One
When the man heard what All For One asked him, he smiled and said "we are closing in on perfecting that"
"How long until it is perfected?" asked All For One
"Hard to say, it should be within the next five years at best" said the man as he thought of the length of time it would take
"Though I wish it would be perfected sooner. I guess it cannot be helped" said All For One
As All For One kept thinking about his future plans. He suddenly thought of something.
"Now that I think about it, what become of All Might?" asked All For One
When the man heard that question, he responded "he has been continuing to do hero work about a month and a half ago"
"So he is still out there doing hero work" said All For One while gripping his hands into fists in extreme hatred
"Although he is still doing hero work. I found out that the injury he received from you is quite severe" said the man as he looked at All For One
"How severe are we talking?" Asked All For One in a questioning tone
"Severe enough that he can barely use One For All for about six hours" said the man before he continued "not only that but he is pushing himself. The injury you caused is growing worse as a result. I do not think I have to tell you what that means"
When All For One heard the man, he smiled as he said "he is going to look for a successor soon, if he has not started already"
"What will you do?" Asked the man
"At the moment nothing, after all we do not know who he will choose as his successor yet" said All For One as he continued "while we wait to find out who will succeed All Might, let us continue working on that plan"
As both of them had a wide smile on their faces, they both continued to talk about future plans

When Kei and Shou finished eating lunch. They had decided to go to an arcade center.
It had been a while since Kei had played some arcade games.
As Kei and Shou continued playing games. Kei got a message from Jiro, asking him if he wanted to get together tomorrow and play some music on their guitars.
When Kei read this, he immediately replied back saying that he would go to her house tomorrow.
Once he finished messaging Jiro, he continued to play some games.
After a few hours had passed Kei and Shou decided to call it a day and head back home.

Just as Kei got home, he heard Detective Naomasa talking to a guest in the living room.
Once Kei made his way into the living room he saw All Might talking with Detective Naomasa.
"Good evening All Might" said Kei
"Good evening young Kei" responded All Might while smiling
"I see you two are discussing something, so I will be in my room" said Kei as he was starting to make his way to the stairs
"Actually Kei, what we were thinking about concerns you as well" said Detective Naomasa as he asked Kei to sit with them
When Kei heard that the conversation was about him and they needed him to stay. He began to wonder what this was about.
Soon All Might began talking to Kei "young Kei, what I am going to tell you, is something I have only told your father so far"
When Kei realizes it was something important. He started to listen to what All Might was going to say.
"First I am going to tell you about my quirk" said All Might with a serious look on his face
Kei already knew about One For All. The only problem was that he had not been told about it from other people. So now he had to listen to the entire history that he already knew.
Once All might had finished telling Kei about his quirk, he said to Kei "young Kei, what I am telling you next is something I hate to admit to myself, much less to others"
As All Might said that there was a moment of silence before he continued "young Kei, my bodies condition is getting worse and the time I can use my quirk is growing less and less"
When Kei heard what All Might told him, he said "if the healing I am providing is not enough, I can use my healing more often t-"
Before Kei could finish his words, All Might cut him off saying "Young Kei, I know how good your intentions are but that is only slowing down the inevitable"
When Kei heard what All Might said, he could not think of how to respond.
'He is right, my healing is only slowing down the fact that he will need to retire soon' thought Kei as he looked down in disappointment
"That is why I came to the decision to pass on my quirk to someone else" said All Might with a hint of unwillingness in his eyes
Kei knew how much All Might loved doing hero work. So he understood why he was a bit unwilling to let it go.
"Kei, the reason I came here and telling you this, is because I want you to inherit One For All" said All Might to Kei
When Kei heard what All Might said, he was shocked at what he heard. Never in his life did he think that All Might would consider him, to inherit One For All.
"Kei, I already said to All Might that he has my approval. Now all that is left is to give us your answer" said Detective Naomasa before he continued "no matter what it is, we will respect your decision"
"He is right young Kei, no matter what you choose I will respect your decision" said All Might
When Kei heard what All Might had said, he already knew what he going to say.
"Then my answer is no" said Kei without a hint of doubt
All Might was surprised to hear keis answer "might I know why you choose to say no"
When Kei heard All Might ask him why he rejected One For All. He could only respond with his actual thoughts "I will admit, that One For All is a powerful quirk but I am already more than confident that I can reach the top with what I have"
As everyone was quiet Kei continued to speak "All Might, I have the confidence to reach the top with my own power. What society needs is not one symbol but more than one that can handle all the problems that arise. I know this because if there were two symbols right now, you would still be in the hospital recovering"
When All Might heard that, he felt Kei was right. If there was someone out there in Japan that was able to handle the problems as best as he could. Then he would not be thinking of a successor right now and be focusing on his recovery instead.
When All Might reached those thoughts, Kei said "All Might, I know that you feel you need to find a successor right away but I think you should wait until you find someone that you truly feel is worthy of this gift"
When All Might heard what Kei said. He felt like he was right. The world cannot survive on one symbol alone. After all, if that symbol were to break and was unable to support society. Then there would be chaos until a new symbol would rise to the occasion.
"Then I guess I will need to continue my search until I find someone worthy of One For All" said All Might as he agreed with Kei
As All Might said that, he could not help but think 'He is right. Society will need two symbols'
