Capítulo 17: Visit to the old house
Two weeks passed away so Stephen and Chrystal Zhu planned to visit their parents when they came to know that they will be staying in the city for only one more month and they will fly back overseas. So, Stephen yang drove his car to his parents' house and let Chrystal stay there.
Chrystal wanted to go to her in-laws because Mrs Xiao Ling was such a graceful and warm lady she felt her love on the day of their wedding and she would never forget her. And as usual, men were busy with their business and Mr Yang was not too meddling on that day so she felt good along with them.
Visiting her in-laws was a must for a newly wedded couple. Stephen Yang stayed the night with his parents and went back to his work the next day. He did not come to the family villa the following week as he had lots of work to do.
Chrystal was enjoying her time with her in-laws. It was indeed too difficult to get such a good, caring and compassionate in-laws. But what she did not know was that Mr Philip was not at all the person whom she thought he would be because he was a very funny person.
He made fun of her mother-in-law and he did funny things like pulling her hair, messing up the kitchen and telling stories of Stephen Yang's childhood. In the whole, they had so much fun together.
But one thing to appreciate was that her mother-in-law Mrs. Yang never took anything seriously, they played the passive way and she acted angrily but inside she was happy. She cooked delicious food yum…. and though her husband messed up the whole kitchen, she would try to hit him with the wooden spoon but it never touched his skin at once. They played around like small kids and pulled Chrystal in their funny game. Since they came for vacations, they did not do any work instead had fun together.
The evening came, they had rest in the afternoon and now it was time for them to water the garden. The three of them came outside and Cookie Hua was standing like a ghost at the entrance. Chrystal Zhu was scared by that scene and Mrs Xiao Ling knew of this kind of old tricks and apologised.
Cookie Hua has been banging the door for nearly half an hour and no one responded to the door. She forgot to bring up the spare keys and there they came with sleepy faces. Cookie Hua was really angry at the moment. With a hump, she marched inside the house and hugged Chrystal Zhu because it was their home now and no one could separate them because Stephen Yang was not there.
Chrystal Zhu also became active due to the presence of her best friend. 'Today was going to be fun' Chrystal Zhu thought. The two girls were talking about stuff when their dad splashed water on them from the pipe and the girls too had water tubes on their hands and they directly splashed water on their dad and when mom came to dad's rescue, she got wet all over by the two naughty girls.
All the four were having lots of fun and everything came to dead silence when they heard a person clearing throat. Chrystal Zhu knew very well of who was present there because she was too familiar with this. Trembling she hid behind Cookie Hua.
She did not dare to look at the person who was present there because she was scared to death and every single tiny little hair in her body stood up. She had goosebumps all over.
'No, I can'tant face him, not in this state'
Chrystal Zhu was continuously chanting in her mind that he should not see her in this state.
But unfortunately, all his eyes were fixed at her. Chrystal Zhu felt it but she dared not to look at him. Her trembling was visible and Cookie Hua too felt it. Being a close friend for so many years, her first priority was to save Chrystal from her brother. Cookie Hua protected Chrystal Zhu behind her back and prevented Stephen Yang her brother from seeing Chrystal.
Knowing the situation, Mrs Xiao and Mr Phillip splashed water all over their son to cool him down. Like a wet puppy, Stephen stood there he did not expect his mom and dad to do this thing to him. 'Mom... Dad… what are you both doing?' With that, he pulled the water pipe from nowhere and started to play along with them. He quickly pulled Chrystal Zhu from Cookie Hua. And protected her from his side.
Cookie Hua was a team with Chrystal Zhu but noticing that the person had gone missing she turned to see her brother holding her waist and playing with water. Soon Cookie Hua and Stephen became opponents in the game and they were engrossed in splashing water at each other and rest three members were staring at the fun which the brother-sister duo had.
Now all the three splashed water at the fighting duo that was a lot of fun and they enjoyed it. The five of them entered the house with drenched clothes the water was dripping all over the floor. Along the path they went, there were only three bathrooms in the villa so the couples shared the same bathroom and Cookie Hua was left to wash herself alone.
It was sad yet, Cookie Hua accepted her fate and went to the bathroom taking her clothes. While Mr and Mrs Yang went to the bathroom which was in their bedroom and the newly married couple in their room.
Both the men in the family had the same trait to pull their wife inside the bathroom to take bath. Cookie Hua soon finished taking bath and she waited for the two young and old couples to finish and came out soon, she was starving. She waited and waited to see that no one came so she cleaned the dirty floor which was all wet but on her way, she heard weird noises but they were not that loud and Cookie Hua did not want to take the risk of eavesdropping.
After some time, the old couple came out. Cookie Hua felt happy that they came out and they both went to prepare the dinner. The preparation took some time and they were going to have barbeque so they setup everything outside. Cookie Hua was now waiting for Chrystal Zhu to come out soon but the new couple took an eternity to come out. By the time they came, the food was already done except for the barbeque and the chicken which was in the grill.
