Capítulo 16: Chapter 17: Conquering the World (Part 7)
The whole world was gripped in terror.
Imagine you are going on a walk and the person walking in front of you, starts screaming and gets converted into a statue. You will freak out and call for help then you will come to know that the person in front of you was not the only one. Then, you will feel fear, " What if it happens to me next?" You will run home and thoroughly clean yourself fearing that something may have attached itself to you. You tell your family and they open the television to see that it was happening all over the world,thousands have been affected. Fearing for your and your's family safety, you call the police but the call does not go through due to busied lines. You lock yourself in your room and feel extreme fear about the same happening to you. You don't know what to do. You say your goodbyes to your family. They all start crying but cannot take you to hospital as the government has imposed a curfew.
This is was the situation of nearly everyone who had seen people converting into statues. Some had already locked themselves up and some had killed themselves. Alexander felt that the loss of innocent life was regretful but the number of lives that would have lost if he had waged war would be immense. The terracotta army would have killed anyone who was not his subjects. At this time, Alexander was making them go through all the cities that he had already conquered, all was going according to script. The news channels had shown the full situation of the globe despite the government's order. The countries of the world have bigger problem now. They did not know if the curse would strike again. The news channel through their sources had already came to know that it was a curse. They revealed it to the public. The people did not believe at first but coming to know that it happened simultaneously all over the world was all the confirmation they needed. They prayed to God for protection. Alexander ordered the truth of war to be revealed in 3 days.
For 3 days, the world was stopped, nobody was coming out of their houses. Everyone was afraid. Some wished for all this to be a nightmare while others wished that it may all come to an end. Then, the big reveal happened. The governments were also surprised by it. They quickly ordered it to be shut down but it was already too late. At first, the people didn't believe it first but the pictures taken of the artifacts being put to use removed their doubts. Once again the world was gripped in terror. People were terrified of this strange new world that was opened in front of them, some people thought of obtaining these artifacts for their own aims. After terror came anger, anger at the government for hiding all this from them, a few tried to rationalize the actions of the government but they were quickly shut down. For the families of the soldiers who had died fighting in the war came sorrow and anger, they did not know if their sons, husbands, fathers and friends had died fighting or were used by some sick bastards to power their weapons. The fact that their government also used such artifacts did not assure them. People demanded the destruction of such artifacts, they came on streets to protest up and riots happened.
The inner monsters hidden inside humans came out again, there were mass robberies being conducted, murders were happening and quite a few tried to take advantage of this chaos to fulfill their dark desires. The governments tried to stop the people but when your entire population is rebelling then it is quite hard to control them. It was like the world was coming to end and Alexander watched calmly as the world burned. The day on which the terracotta army was going to be revealed to the world, Alexander once again cast the curse. Due to the urging of Mr. Mao, majority of the Chinese people had submitted to Alexander, the entire army of China was under his control now and hundreds more were submitting each second. Alexander had recovered enough King's might to cast the curse again. Once again the world came to an standstill, people had thought that the curse was one time occurrence but during riots, many had qualified to become the new targets of the curse, people quicky returned to their homes full of terror and opened the news channel. The news channel showed the people the footage of the terracotta army and how they had subjugated the whole China and now were advancing towards India. How the modern weapons were useless against the terracotta army and how they spared those who submitted to the dragon emperor. The people had not recovered from this news when another news came that the curse was the dragon emperor's punishment to the evil doers. The news channel further speculated that maybe submitting to the dragon emperor would safe them from the curse.
All of this was planned by Alexander. Alexander moved towards India and proceeded to conquer the State of Gujrat where the leader of Indian Independence movement lived. A man called Mahatama Gandhi, he was a person who was greatly admired by Alexander. In his world, this man had liberated his country from being a colony of Britain through non violent protests and acted as a inspiration to many people for generations to come. Alexander requested Mahatama Gandhi to convince his countrymen to submit to him as Alexander greatly respected him, he did not outright ordered him but he subtly planted a suggestion in his mind to follow his words. Alexander knew that his actions were full of hypocraisy but he did not care. The terracotta army would reach India in two days. Due to Gandhi's words, almost all of the India submitted to the dragon emperor.
Alexander now controlled half of the world's population without including the people that were already his subjects and those who had submitted to him in western countries. Alexander after adding up all his subjects had 70 percent of the world's population under him. Alexander ordered his subjects to convince others to submit to him. As the terracotta army reached Europe, Alexander now controlled 78 percent of the world's population and till now no country had revealed any mystical weapon but Alexander was not going to take any chances. The American government tried to assure it's people that the terracotta army would not be able to cross the ocean but Alexander used his subjects to counter these claims. Further, Alexander made the terracotta army march towards Britain, as Britain was separated by ocean from Europe, it took terracotta army, one week to reach the shore of Britain. Now, that it was revealed that the terracotta army could cross the ocean, people started submitting in droves, Alexander now controlled 96 percent of the world's population. Alexander then moved to Africa as Africa had the least number of subjects in the world as they simply didn't know about the international matters. They had faced enough diseases and plagues to chalk the curse as a weird disease. Alexander conquered the whole Africa in one swoop and turned his attention towards the higher ups of the governments and some other important persons who still were not submitting.
Alexander now had enough subjects in various governments that he came to know that only five countries had mystical items hidden away. They were America, Russia, Spain, Britain and France. Alexander already knew their locations and ordered his subjects to bring them to him. The heist went without an mishap and Alexander had bound them to their kingdom. The artifacts were a bow with the power to shoot energy arrows, a burning axe, a disc which fried people's brains, a staff which could elongate and give it's user impressive strength for this world and a spying globe. Alexander gave them the same treatment as the ancient book. Now, it was the time to deal with the stubborn ones.
Alexander had all the people who had not submitted to him captured and brought before him. Alexander currently was in Switzerland. Alexander saw them all tied up and knelling on the ground. They were less than a hundred. If Alexander did not have future need of them, he would have already killed them. They were experienced in leading their Nations and Alexander needed them to form the basic infrastructure of his kingdom. Alexander looked at them and said, " You are the only people on this planet who have not submitted to me. You have five minutes to think. Submit or die." Some of them submitted while others chose death.
Alexander now have to wait for one week. After one week, the world would be deemed to be conquered by him and he would be able to assimilate this world with his kingdom.
One Week later:
The world was in peace. There were no wars, crimes, corruption, hunger any longer in the world. All the subjects of a king treated each other with respect and tried to help each other. This was to save the king from the headache of governing trillions of people. If a king remained concerned with such trivial matters then when would he go to conquer other worlds. Alexander stood before the portal, he had previously hidden in Antarctica. Alexander stepped through it. Alexander climbed the platform and placed his hand on the pillar. He saw the two lands connected, both were connected by a golden bridge and both were shining in golden colour signifying that both were now a part of his kingdom. Alexander willed the mummy world to assimilate in to his kingdom and saw in his mind the mummy world vanishing and the land of his kingdom increasing at a rapid speed. After the mummy world was assimilated several changes occured in the kingdom.
