"Your friend left?" Ilyan asked, catching the sight of Irene sitting alone with the Television on, once he returned after finishing his call.

She gave him an indifferent nod, her eyes fixed at her television screen.

Pushing his phone in his pocket, he walked closer. "All okay?"

"Yes. Who were you talking to?"

"I um… I was actually talking to -" He halted on his words, sensing an indirect hint of something in her question. "Wait. Why?"

'Wow! You continue to set a new record as to how dumb you can really be, YOU FOOL! What was the need to ask?' She could not stop mentally cursing herself.

He raised his brows as a mischievous glint danced in his orbs. "Tell me. Tell me. Let me guess. You thought I was upset?"

"I hate you, Ilyan." She threw a fit, turning off the television, throwing the remote in a corner.
