Capítulo 5: Costume
After they reached Todoroki Abode, Hiro was welcomed by his sister Fuyumi who he was friendly with and Natsuo Todoroki who was currently studying in a college. At one glance in his eyes, Hiro realized his older brother Natsuo hates Endeavor just like himself which made him greet friendlier towards him.
"Hmm, there should be one more sibling, right? Was he busy?" Hiro asked as he saw his eldest brother missing. Shoto replied coldly, "it's my family matter. Doesn't concern you." As Fuyumi and Natsuo frowned, Fuyumi knocked on his head and lectured him, "don't talk like that to your brother. He has every right as you."
Then she looked at Hiro and said with a sad face, "Toya Niisan isn't with us, anymore. He died a few years ago."
"Did mom knew about this?" Hiro asked her as he was taken aback in surprise. She sighed and nodded. "I see, I'm sorry about that. How did he die?" when Hiro asked her, Enji interrupted them, "now, will you talk all day at the doorstep? Fuyumi, show your brother around and take him to your grandmother."
After both of them left, Endeavor looked at Natsuo with a frown, "Natsuo, until your brother lives in the house, you won't speak of that failure in front of me."
"Why? Are you ashamed to let him hear that you are the one who killed him, You fucking bastard." Natsuo growled at Endeavor shocking Shoto who heard it for the first time. Enji grabbed his shoulders in anger as fire is emitting from him with rage, "your failure of a brother went on trying to become a hero when he doesn't even have a skill. What else can happen other than getting himself killed? Just because I'm apologetic a little since I trained him a little hard doesn't mean I'll shut up and listen to your insults every time. The next time I see you spout such nonsense at me..." Natsuo was then forced down to his knees with Endeavor's sheer muscle strength.
"Let's go, Shoto." While Enji walked away from there, Natsuo punched the floor in frustration, Shoto patted his shoulder, "are you alright?" Natsuo looked at him and replied softly, "I'm fine. Just go." Shoto sighed, "why are you behaving recklessly again, Natsuo Nii. You know how father also blames himself for Toya Niisan's death and he would always take his frustrations a bit violently. Sigh, now, my training today going to be hard."
"You don't understand it Shoto. You are raised differently and separately from us. When you form a bond and grow with them together and suddenly something happened to one of them, only then you'll pain in your heart," Natsuo replied with a sigh and pointed his heart.
Shoto shook his head and replied, "well, I guess that's how normal people are. Father said heroes only need strength and nothing else. They need to be strong in order for others to depend on him in crisis. That's why they need to close their hearts to not feel pain as they deal with deaths day after day. I still don't understand how All Might was able to smile at all times though."
As Shoto left, "Sigh, at this rate you'll turn out just like father. Now, I can only hope friends at your school can open up your heart that father closed it forcibly," Natsuo thought while looking at his youngest brother back."
Meanwhile, Hiro met his grandmother, Ozawa Mayo who sat on her bed looking very ill and talked with her for a while before she went sleep again. While looking around this traditional Japanese house with a garden in the middle, Hiro asked, "Fuyumi Nee, what happened to her, again? I thought she was cured when I heard she was discharged a few months ago."
"no need to worry about that. I heard a cure was currently being developed in America. Within a few months, she'll be fine again. Don't tell mom yet. She'll be worried," Fuyumi replied while they toured around the house.
Then, she got a call. "It's Katsuhito san. I wonder what he wants to inform." as Fuyumi wondered, Hiro replied, "must be my luggage. Earlier he went to the Hotel to bring my luggage." As she picked up the call and listened for a few seconds, she said, "ok" and then looked at Hiro, "he's at the front hall with your luggage, asking me where your room is. Pick an empty room you like."
As they were moving the luggage to his room, they heard a roar, "stand up. You are supposed to be number 1, not number 2. How can you defeat All Might and become number 1 hero when you can't even become no.1 in your little class. You need to further improve your physical fitness. Now, do 1000 more."
Fuyumi looked at Hiro, "it's just their regular training. Don't mind it."
The next day, the Todoroki family steward, Mino Katsuhito took both of them in their car to the school. As soon as they stepped down from the car and walking inside the school, a few students who were nearby staring at Hiroto and Shoto who were walking in the same direction but maintaining a distance.
Since their seats are adjacent to each other at the back row, most of the class 1A students looked back and forth between the two and then Kirishima spoke aloud, "man, no matter how I saw it, you two definitely don't look similar even a little bit aside from the white hair. I guess you took after you mom?"
While Shoto grunted and stayed silent, Hiro replied, "well, for the most part." When he was about to ask another question, Shoto coldly said, "stop prying into other people's business and mind your own. You can sit down, now. It's almost time for the class."
As Kirishima stayed silent, Hiro looked at his adjacent desk and asked, "you are that infinity girl, right? Your name is... hmm,"
As Hiro was trying to remember her name, she replied politely, "I'm Ochaco Uraraka, Todoroki san. Nice to meet you."
"Likewise, my name is Hiroto Todoroki. You can call me as Hiroto. Friends call me Hiro by short," replied Hiroto.
The classes started with normal high school stuff. English, mathematics, Literature and then they went to the cafeteria to eat lunch. Finally, in the afternoon, All Might entered the class with great enthusiasm while the students faces changed into fangirl and fanboy state that included Shoto and whispering among each other how amazing his costume is, etc...
After "All Might" greeted everyone, he said "I teach Foundation Hero studies. It's a subject where you train in different ways to learns the basics of being a hero. This subject has the most number of credits out of all. So, let's get right into it. This is what we're going to do today."
He pulled a card out of nowhere and showed them that says Battle. "Combat Training," as All Might said that, class 1A became excited since it's the very thing they are waiting for. "Now, here comes one more exciting part. The Costumes that are made based on your Quirk registrations and requests you sent in before the school started. Go and check your lockers. There will be a bag that contained your costumes and Todoroki kun?"
"Yes?" "Yes?" both Shoto and Hiroto responded to his call making a light laugh escaped from a few students. Then, All Might pointed Hiroto, "the older one, you." As Shoto sat down, Hiroto asked, "yes?"
"Did you bring your costume? You said you would bring your own instead." asked All Might. Hiro nodded as a response.
All Might then looked at the rest of the class and said, "everyone, change into your costumes and gather in Ground Beta". While everyone stood up and going to their locker room, Sero asked curiously, "Hiroto san, did you seriously rejected the clothing allowance?"
"No, just the primary costume. My uncle owned a support company. I'll just use the allowance for needed alterations in the future," replied Hiroto.
In the locker room, as Hiro changed into his costume, everyone looked at him in surprise. Sero then asked, "Is that your costume?"
"Hmm, is there any problem?" as Hiro asked, Sero scratched his cheek, "how should I say this, hmm..." Iida then commented, "it's too flashy, especially those accessories. Do you want to become a model or something?"
Hiro then replied, "well, a hero needs a good appearance. These aren't just for show though. It will help me out in various ways." and then he thought, "If I told what special metal embedded inside these clothes, you'll faint." Meanwhile, as Mineta was busy biting off his shirt in frustration seeing his appearance, on the other hand, Bakogu snorted, "you just look like a Vampire from the movies you pale face."
As everyone gathered in Ground Beta, as everyone gathered, AllMight looked at everyone. He almost broke out in laugh seeing Izuku's costume since those ears at the top and the teeth printed on the mask are almost identical to his appearance.
Then, Hiro's appearance which was kinda flashy attracted him for a second with the white dress and those unique earrings along with the other couple of accessories that are attached to his dress. Then as a veteran Pro Hero, AllMight's eyes instantly recognized that there are white metals embedded in various parts of the dress while tailoring it that made it seem like a normal one to a naked eye. He thought, "pure white element? Is it Pulecium?"
He shook off his thoughts and said, "that's great, everyone. you all look cool. Now, it's time for Combat training."
