I had almost died. The thought seemed to echo through me as I didn't know how to feel anymore, or at least that was how I felt for the first few days. My sleep or constant falling into unconsciousness had helped me sort my feelings on my life. I decided to no longer care how other's thought and just try and enjoy my life to the best of my ability. I would simply just not care about the villagers, and if they did try something again. I decided I would just leave Konoha. I had nothing holding me here after all.
Of course this is easier said then done. The only way to do that would be sneaking out especially now that I knew my own identity. Maybe that was the guilt in the Hokage's eyes, my eye's flashed with recognition. The woman however, my mother made me curious as well. Since she was the fourth Hokage's first lady, then obviously she wouldn't have been an ordinary person. However I didn't have a clue of who she could be.
Putting these thoughts to the side I had one thing I tried to figure out above all. What in the world had I saw before I ended up hitting the ground. Was that an angel who guided my hands away from my body so I didn't die, or was it some kind of hallucination. Frankly just this one thing stirred up my passion once more to try and find out. It also intrigued me so much I didn't focus so much on my failed attempt at a suicide.
With a whisk of wind, I felt the window pushed open next to me. Looking but finding no one I wondered how it had opened. Trying to get up the best I could, still sore after my injuries, I made my way to the window and tried to close it. Something however seemed to stop me from doing so. Giving up I walked back to my bed only to once more hear a whisk of wind this time next to my ear. "Child, accept my gift." Then it was gone.
The voice however seemed to drag up my memories of the Angel. Maybe, just maybe I thought looking around and indeed their it was. A being wrapped in light. The wings seemingly the purest white that could ever be possible, yet still somehow more. The small spots of dimness that seemed to absorb light acting as eyes. The infinitality of this angel made me clench my heart in awe. "Your real, thank,... thank you," my voice stuttered out feeling gratification. It was thanks to this being he knew something out their cared enough for his life to bother saving it. This divine presence made him feel like, maybe just maybe he had truly never been alone. Maybe she had watched from a distance keeping me ultimately safe.
"Accept my gift, my child." The voice once more echoed. Putting my knee's to the floor I found myself bowed in nothing but respect and gratitude. "I would gratefully accept. Thank you savior, my savior, the one who cared about me enough to actually save me unlike so many other's who would wish for my death." The words, emotions that came out of me were only truth. Then with a tap on my head, I felt a hand lay itself their protecting me. "We shall see each other again my child. Take care and use your gift carefully it comes with great responsibility." With that I picked myself up from the ground feeling completely healed and for once in this life of mine expectant looking forward towards my life.
At that moment a ninja leaped in from the opened window bowing towards me. That brought complete and utter confusion until something happened. I heard voices down below, the streets were crowded with people. Behind me the Hokage walked in. Sitting down on my hospital bed he motioned for me to come over. The guilt in his eyes present he looked at me as he finally admitted something. "I knew your parents."
Surprise covered my face as I finally saw the man's guilt disappear as he admitted to the truth. Sitting down as well I listened to his side of the story. " Your mother, was an Uzumaki. She was the princess of her village, now clan as it has been wiped out to just a few remaining members. They lived in a place that was called the Land of Whirlpools before their destruction. Your father was a Namikaze, a clan your father established in fact as he managed to somehow developed a unique Kekkai Genkai. As you can probably guess (Which my memories confirmed) your father was Minato Namikaze the forth Hokage. I wanted to protect you from other villages by not announcing who you are but after today, I realized you needed to know even if it was only for the fact that they loved you. It was when I looked into his face with thanks that I noticed a glint in his eyes. Likely he knew I tried to kill myself and was trying to tie me to this village. I couldn't let my smile drop. My years of practicing facades came in handy here.
Originally I didn't plan on telling you, but your accident has made me realize I have done nothing but wrong trying to keep this from you. The emotions of the old man's voice on his last stand made me wince as I remembered my promises to take his hat from him, so he could retire. Right now I really hated my naivety in my younger days. Well I was still young, but as they say sometimes you just need to learn to grow up a little earlier. "Your mother Kushina Uzumaki, was truly a wonderful girl. She was known as the red headed habenero for her fierce temper," he said with a small laugh. "Forgive my ramblings please. It seems I'm getting older. To summarize what this means however for you is the fact that you are now the heir to two clans. You'll also need to take part in the clan restoration act. The nod I received made me consider now what I should do with this knowledge. "I know this probably means nothing to you, and you probably hate me, but I'm sorry for not being able to tell you sooner. The enemies your mother and father made were to many, and admittedly I was afraid of you getting yourself killed with your loud constant shouts of being the next Hokage. Snorting as a smile finally took my face over; I started planning my escape.
"I guess I do have family here," I muttered to myself not seeing the flash of surprise in the old man's eyes. "Fake" tears leaked as he realized just what kind of punishment he gave the youth. "I want to make it right though the best way I can so please follow me outside." Behind me the ninja followed. Stepping to the window I watched as the man performed a few hand styles and then stone appeared on the side of the hospital creating a balcony just for this one room. Stepping through the window/ door that also had been created by the justu I faced the large crowd below who gasped out loud at seeing who I was.
The Hokage waved his hand silencing the audience. "I told you this morning around the city with my messenger's that the fourth's son has finally come out of hiding. Well I admit it was partially a lie." The crowd gasped wondering what was going on. Swearing up a storm at the boy who was behind the Hokage. "The reason is, that he had always been among you from the very beginning. Being pushed forward slightly I stood next to the Hokage.
"The boy, you called a demon. He is the child of Kushina Uzumaki, and Minato Namikaze, the heir to both clans. He took the place of his mother in taking on the container of the beast." 'What did he mean by taking on the position of the container of a beast,' I would figure it out soon I decided. "He who you punished was the son of your savior. Now let me ask you, what will you do!" The anger contained at this part was true unfiltered anger at the loss of his student and his loss of free time caused by his arch nemesis paperwork. None of that anger was actually for me.
The talking stopped, they looked at me then the face on the cliff, realization filled them as they looked at me, cold sweat broke out from each and everyone of their bodies. Some screamed. Hysteria broke out among all the citizens down below. The only ones unaffected was the high rank ninja who had known for a long, long time. Hizashi Hyuuga, also seemed to smile slightly as a look unseen by many in years passed through his eyes. Piece seemed to have been restored in the heart of many. And a wave of change was going to occur whether that be for good or bad.
The citizens however displayed pure chaos, as many screamed lies trying to flat out reject the obvious truth that had always been before them. Other's broke down crying at hurting their savior's son. Then their was a small group that just showed surprise. They didn't hate the boy per say, it had just been easier to get a job, and own a shop when they said they hated the boy. It seemed to create a universal connection.
What was this feeling I felt. Warmth filled my soul as I looked at the man. I hated this man because I knew this was all a lie, but the results still somehow brought warmth to my heart. I knew I needed to ignore this I focused on anger than I felt indifferent to the attempt when I remembered the angel. Such a thing truly cared. Why should I care for these fake attempts.
Smiling I couldn't help but whisper "You know, I could get used to this life." The voice heard only to the two people on the balcony who smiled in secret. One assuming his plan was a success and the other lesser ninja truly happy for his sensei's son who would finally get a chance. Sadly he couldn't see through the Hokage's guile as he had been brainwashed for to long.
Evil Forth check. Nice Kakashi who unfortunetly brainwashed check. How will naruto deal with this in the future. Next time on Dragon ball Z...... wait wrong anime.
