Capítulo 137: EPISODE 137: Battle for the Fiercest!
Through the streets we run, towards the battle temple we set charge! Today's the day, for the Pokemon Tag Battle Frontier. The plaza, wherein the Battle tent is located, is jam-packed with trainers and partners alike. Some even look fierce and tough, while some looked scared and anxious. About me? I'm not scared nor too fierce, you've gotta show humility and confidence.
Zhery and Glade looked tough and determined, while Camellia on the other hand looked worried and nervous. From the distance, you can see Krill and Arc taking pictures with their fans, while the elite four and the champion of this region walk by to greet other trainers.
"Hey Camellia... are you sure you're going to be alright?" I questioned while looking at her sweat, falling off her face.
"I... I might let ourselves down. What if we lose because of me?" Camellia queried with worry and tingling nerves.
"If we lose, we lose! It's part of battling, one winner, one loser. I won't get mad if we lose, actually... when I lose? I feel happy since I learn new things! You should too, feel confident!" I cheered and reassured.
"Kalem's right... you've won the Pokemon Battle Cup, you can do the same here!" Zhery cheered and comforted.
"Looks like Kalem is here!" Lance descended from above, with his brave and mighty Dragonite.
"Hey Lance! We're ready to win the whole competition!" I beamed with excitement.
"Hold up... me and Zhery will be the winners!" Glade negotiated and intervened.
"We'll see about that in the Pokemon Tag Battle Frontier! If I were you, I would reserve the seats already. The crowd's getting bigger!" Lance suggested.
The battle temple, is a tall golden pyramid, depending on how good your eyes are. For some, it looks orange and for some it looks golden, it depends on the angle you're looking at. Two floors, filled with comfortable seats, just like those in a colosseum. The seats surround the large stage, which looks like a boxing stage to me. One square stage with ropes running through the corners.
Above us, is one of Enju's newest technologies. It was actually endorsed by the champion herself! A tall screen hanged from above, which shows our Pokemons being used and the pictures of us and our tag partners. A gong will be struck thrice, which will be the signal of the start!
Whoever wins the Pokemon Tag Battle Frontier not only gets to fight against the Elite Four, or in this case... the elite eight, but they can also win a small golden trophy with a lustrous Pokeball symbol on top, each per trainer! There are no screens inside the waiting room, just battlefields for trainers to train with their tag partners while a match is ongoing. Referees or volunteers would go to the waiting room to call our names. Inside the waiting room, there is a mini Pokemon center and a mini Pokemart. Potions are allowed, but not revives and full restores.
The opening ceremony is about to begin, people walked to their seats, while the officers prepare the mic system, one of Enju's newest technologies. Actually, to be honest? Enju only has three technologies or maybe four, lights, mics and sound systems, the hanging thingy, and decorative factors.
Seat 4A 4B 4C and 4D, that's where me and my friends sat. For the opening ceremony, everybody must watch. including the trainers competing. Afterward, we will be asked to proceed to the waiting hall depending on our number.
Everybody was silent at first, people were talking to each other but not that loud. Just like a cinema, people waiting for the show to start. Suddenly, the lights start flashing in. The music started to play, the indigo theme to be exact! Everybody began to cheer as the Elite four of the Kanto Region makes their debut on stage!
"Welcome to the 45th annual of the Pokemon Tag Battle Frontier! I am Scott, your host and commentator. For the opening events, we shall welcome... the Kanto's Elite Four!" Scott announced which lifted the spirits and exuberance of the crowd.
"A frosty and Icy trainer, the first of the Elite four, let me present to you... Lorelei!" Scott introduced. Lorelei began to walk to the stage with her violet deathly Cloyster.
"Citizens of the Laurenburg region! I am Lorelei... and welcome to the Pokemon Tag Battle Frontier!" Lorelei greeted and bowed.
"A hard will trainer with the power of strength and astonishment, let me introduce you to Bruno!" The crowd began to cheer for Bruno as he walks by with his Steelix.
"Get ready for some fierce battles!" Bruno beamed with excitement and greeted the crowd.
"The trainer of maiden's peak, an old lady with the power of ghosts and ghouls! Let's welcome, Agatha!"
"Nice to meet you darlings... I am Agatha of the Elite four, this is Gengar my terrific and power will Pokemon!" Agatha smiled and waved to the crowd.
"And... the elite four you've been waiting for makes a debut in the Laurenburg region! Let us welcome, Lance... the dragon master!" Fire began to lit as Lance makes a dramatic entrance! He walks side by side with his strong Dragonite!
"I welcome all of you to the Pokemon tag Battle Frontier! I and the rest of the Elites shall be watching with keen eyes, I greet all the sync partners out there... good luck! You'll all need it!" Lance beamed with excitement as his cape slowly flapped.
"And of course... it's your very own Elite four of the Laurenburg region, together with our champion!" Scott beamed with excitement. Melody, Groyle, Alice, and Draco walked one by one, and lastly Ms. Beatrice made an appearance on stage with her Alakazam!
The nine of the sat down in front of the stage. It had a long table in front of them, with drinks and food for the Elite four and champion. Ms.Beatrice sat down in the center of the Kanto and Laurenburgian Elite Four!
The opening ceremony proceeded with the striking of the gongs! Five times the gong was struck, while everybody beamed with excitement.
"Now... let us proceed to the battle we've all been waiting for." Scott announced loudly while lifting the spirits of the crowd.
"On my left, the dragon master of the Kanto Region, fear his Dragonite... Lance! Once a champion, now a master!" Lance walked towards the stage with a determined face. His Dragonite stood with him, looking fierce and powerful.
"On my right, the dazzling Fairy Maestra, thousands have feared her Pokemons, let me welcome you... Melody!"
Lance and Melody walked to the stage while the trainers cheered for their name, Melody has an advantage point since she uses fairy type Pokemons.
"Dragonite, brute strength! Brute Power, shine, and battle with me!" Lance proclaimed while both of them stepped inside the battle stage.
"Togekiss, the Jubilee Pokemon, reign over the skies and seas with elegance! Come out and show the world your true glory!" Melody proclaimed while both of them stepped inside the battle stage.
Draco was chosen as the referee for the match, everybody including me and my friends were excited for this Elite Four match! A dragon master against a fairy Maestra, who will reign victorious!?
"Each shall use one Pokemon each, the battle ends when either side no longer has a Pokemon to battle with. On my marks... get set... battle begin!" Draco proclaimed as the gons struck once! The screen turned on, which showed Lance and Dragonite against Melody and Togekiss.
"Dragonite, fly up to the sky!"
"Togekiss, use Moon Blast on Dragonite!"
"Take the damage and descend to Togekiss with Draco Meteor!"
*Moon Blast damaged Dragonite as it charged through Togekiss with a smile and determined look.*
"Look at that folks! Not a single scratch on Dragonite and Togekiss, after that move collision course!" Scott announced.
"Togekiss, use Mystical Fire!"
"Dragonite, dodge it then use Dragon Claw immediately!"
"Not so fast, now use Dazzling Gleam again!"
"Dragonite was able to dodge Mystical fire but was unable to dodge Dazzling Gleam on time! Dragon Claw has been canceled out!"
"Togekiss, follow it up with Fire Blast!"
"Dragonite, use Dragon pulse to counter!"
"Togekiss's fire blast has been pushed back to her with Dragonite's Dragon Pulse!" Scott beamed with excitement.
"I've gotta say, Lance... You're one tough opponent!"
"Hehe, thanks! Togekiss ain't bad as well."
"Togekiss, fly to the sky then use Dazzling Gleam again!"
"Dragonite, dodge the attack, and use Dragon Pulse!"
"Quick Togekiss, use Air slash on Dragonite's neck!"
*While Dragonite stored power, it was interrupted by Togekiss's Air slash! The attack exploaded inside Dragonite's mouth which caused the Pokemon to fall back to the stage!*
"Oh no!" Lance beamed with shock as he watched his Dragonite descend back to the sky.
"Quick, use Dazzling Gleam on Dragonite!"
<Dragonite!>The Pokemon beamed with pain as it slowly stood up.
"Dragonite, use Dragon Claw again!"
"Togekiss, dodge the attack then use Mystical Fire!"
"Togekiss dodges Dragon Claw swiftly! Mystical Fire dealt with maximum damage!" Scott announced with conviction and excitement.
"Dragonite, use Draco Meteor on Togekiss!"
"Dodge it quick!"
"It's combo attack time, now use Dragon claw and Draco Meteor!"
"Amazing! Dragon Claw and Dragon Meteor at once! A true experience from the Dragon Master!" Scott announced.
Both Togekiss and Dragonite are badly damaged. Each was filled with wounds but still they stood firm and determined.
"Dragonite, use Dragon Pulse!"
"Counter with Dazzling Gleam!"
*Both attacks collided against each other! A large powerful explosion occurred which damaged both Pokemons.*
"Dragonite is unable to battle... Togekiss is unable to battle... this match is a draw!" Draco announced as the smoke slowly cleared.
"Thank you for showing your power Dragonite. Now return to your Pokeball."
"Togekiss, a splendid job! Please take a long rest inside your Pokeball."
"Both Elites showed their true colors which turned the match into a draw!" Scott announced as the crowd turned wild.
Lance and Melody showed sportsmanship and humility to each other, they shook each other's hand and waved at the crowd.
"Now that the Opening Ceremony is finished! Let us move to the reminders to be announced by your champion, Ms.Beatrice!" Ms.Beatrice stood up and entered the stage with her Alakazam for the reminders and rules.
"Good morning, Laurenburgians! It's nice to be back in the Pokemon Battle Frontier! This year's competition has a total of 64 pairs. Only one pair can reign champion and battle the Elite fours of the Kanto and Laurenburg region.
The competition will have two parts each bearing three stages. The Knockdowns and The Showdowns.
Knockdowns:
Elimination Rounds[2 Pokemons for each pair!]
Duel Rounds[2 Pokemons for each pair!]
Advancements[2 Pokemons for each pair!]
Showdowns:
Quarter duels[2 Pokemons for each pair]
Semi duels[2 Pokemons for each pair]
Final Duel[4 Pokemons for each pair]
The use of potions are allowed, but revives and full restores are prohibited. We request every pair to show sportsmanship and humility! Once again, I welcome all of you to the Pokemon Tag Battle Frontier!" Ms.Beatrice announced.
"You heard that loud and clear folks, all sync pairs please look at your names and pictures on the screen. We shall now enter the Knockdown rounds!" Scott announced as the names and pictures on the screen were shuffled.
"Please... Hopefully we get an easy opponent." Camellia begged.
"And the shuffling is complete! Here are the pairs battling against other pairs! We are now in the elimination rounds, each pair shall use two Pokemons each, potions are also allowed! The pair who wins will proceed to the duel rounds. May we request trainers Joshua and Mark against trainers Selah and Casey to please proceed to the stage. In the meantime, we would like to ask the rest of the pairs to please proceed to the Pokemon waiting rooms, your room number is on the screen!" Scott announced.
"Looks like we're room number 2 Camellia!" I beamed with excitement, while waiting for our turn.
"Me and Zhery are room number one, which means we'll be splitting up for now."
"It's fine by me! Good luck to the both of yah, win every match until we battle!" I beamed with excitement and determination.
"Don't worry, as long as you win your matches as well!" Glade beamed with excitement and determination.
Me and Camellia separated with Glade and Zhery. The trainers proceeded to either room one or two, while the first match begins now! Blood starts to boil, as passions erupt! It's the Pokemon Tag Battle frontier, and it has just begun!
Who will reign victor over the temple, who will get a chance to battle the elite four? The answer is to come, as the journey continues!
