Capítulo 22: EPISODE 22: Searing recipes!
"It... It's so hot!"
"I... I can't bear the heat of the sun!" Me and Glade complained as we walked through route one.
"The temperature outside is about forty-two degrees, Celsus." Irys explained.
"Thanks for the temperature check Irys!" Glade greeted.
"Seriously? Aren't you two going to walk any faster?" Zhery sighed.
"We're so tired of walking, we need to rest Zhery!" I begged.
"Please... can we eat lunch now and continue this long walk later?" Glade queried.
"Fine, let's eat lunch first but afterward, I want no one to complain about the heat you got it?"
"Y... Yes Zhery! Understood!" Me and Glade said listlessly.
"Alright Riolu and Zorua you prepare the Pokebowls!" I ordered.
"Luxio, lets help Zhery prepare the food!"
"And as for you two Eevee and Roselia, I want you to prepare the picnic mat. Make it nice and elegant for me."
Teamwork! Yes, me, Zhery, and Glade worked alongside with our Pokemon. The faster we're done setting up, the faster we can eat!
"Oh no!" Zhery screamed.
"Hey Zhery, what happened?" I puzzled.
"The curry! It's gone!" Zhery explained.
"What!? All of it?" Glade queried.
"Yes! and I'm not joking around!"
"But... I don't remember eating all curry last night." I tried to recall but nothing popped up! I really swore to Zhery that I didn't finish the food yesterday!
"Me too... I only ate one plate of curry last night.
"Then who ate all the food!? Don't say it was me! I'm innocent! I don't have a big appetite!" Zhery exclaimed as she worried about the food.
"Well I guess we can rely on the Aguav berries I picked yesterday," Glade suggested.
"We have to find the culprit! A Pokemon must have done this!" Zhery hunched.
"Hey Irys, have you seen anyone steal our food yesterday?" I queried.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't see a thing, but if you want... I can show you footage of our journey earlier after morning." Irys suggested.
"Wait, you can do that?" Glade puzzled.
"Yes, I may not see what happened but maybe my camera did." Irys hunched.
"Show me the footage! Show me! I'm going to find who the culprit is and I'm going to teach it a lesson!" Zhery badgered.
"Hey Zhery, calm down... You don't have to be worried sick!" I tried to calm Zhery but she wouldn't listen to me. All she cares about is to find the culprit. We viewed the footage Irys showed us and watched it very carefully.
Zhery kept her eyes open, eager to know who stole the food.
"Hey look closely, there seems to be something grabbing an object inside your bag Zhery" I observed.
"Yeah, that footage was after breakfast... meaning, while you were keeping your things, something stole the container filled with curry!" Glade concurred.
"Irys, please zoom the part where was something was trying to steal the container" Zhery begged.
"No problem Zhery" Irys zoomed the footage only to see something mesmerizing.
"What kind of Pokemon is that?" I queried.
"I've never seen anything like it..." Glade added.
"Uh, Kalem?"
"What's up Riolu?" I looked back at Riolu who was helping Zorua set the Pokebowls.
"There's a red monkey Pokemon stealing the Aguav berries!" Zorua warned and pointed at the bags.
"What? You little culprit!" Zhery stared at the Pokemon which was about to steal the Aguav berry.
The Pokemon laughed and stole the Aguav berries leaving Zhery very angry and frustrated.
"Come back here you little culprit!" Zhery badgered as she chased the Pokemon.
"Hey Irys, what Pokemon is Zhery chasing?" I queried.
"Hmmm... Scanning... Scanning... Data complete!" Irys stated.
[Pansear! The high temp Pokemon! A fire type! When it is angered, the temperature of its head tuft reaches 600 degrees F. It uses its stuff to roast berries]
"So that's the name of that measly fire monkey!" Zhery approached looking all messed up and burned.
"What happened to you Zhery?" I asked.
"Did you just wrestled up a fire monkey with no Pokemon?" Glade teased.
"That Fire Monkey ruined my hair and stole our food! I'm going to find that monkey!" Zhery proclaimed. Eevee and Roselia approached Zhery as they were worried about their trainer.
"Calm down, we don't even know where Pansear lives" I deadpanned.
"I know where it went, just follow me!" Zhery instructed.
"Alright... Riolu you guard the place while we're gone"
"And you too Roselia, we'll be back after we catch that thief!"
We followed Zhery towards the woods to find Pansear. A Pokemon looks like a monkey, with a red body and red tuft above his head.
We followed Zhery to a tall and large tree. The tree had deep roots and a large trunk with yellow leaves. On the branches of the tree were circular nests made out of yellow leaves. On one of the nest, we saw our Aguav berries and the container Pansear stole.
"I knew that Pansear lived here!" Zhery said with frustration.
"Come down Pansear, I know your there somewhere! Show yourself!" Zhery badgered.
Moments later, Pansear showed himself looking angry and frustrated.
"Pan Pan Pansear Pan!" Pansear shouted with anger.
"Kalem, Pansear said that if we got closer to the tree he will burn us." Zorua translated.
"What did Zorua say Kalem?" Glade queried. "Pansear said that if we got close to the tree, he'll burn us all!" I explained.
"What!? SUCH A DEMANDING POKEMON! You're the one who stole our food first!" Zhery was filled with anger and rage as he spoke towards Pansear.
"Pan Pan Pansear sear!"
"Kalem, Pansear is warning us not to go anywhere closer." Zorua translated.
"Zhery, Glade, Pansear warned us not to go anywhere closer!" I translated.
"Listen here you little monkey, if you give back our curry then we'll leave your humble abode alone!" Zhery bargained.
"Pan sear Pan!"
"Pansear said that there's nothing we can do because the curry was already eaten." Zorua translated.
"Zhery, Pansear said that curry was already eaten!"I translated.
"This nonsense is over, Eevee use tackle on Pansear!" Zhery commanded.
Eev Eev!
Eevee's tackle was about hit but Pansear dodged it and teased.
"Pan Pan!"
"Kalem! Panseared teased Eevee and said that Eevee is too slow!" Zorua translated. Eevee heard what Pansear said and got very angry. She kept on using tackle but her tackle kept on missing.
"My turn, Luxio use thunderbolt!"
Glade commanded.
Glade's thunderbolt also missed.
"Pan Pan..."
"Kalem, Pansear said that Luxio is very very slow. Even slower than Eevee!" Zorua translated.
Luxio heard Pansear's tease and went out of control. Luxio kept on doing volt tackles towards Pansear but they keep on missing.
"Zorua! it's our turn to try! Zorua use tackle!" I commanded as I tried to defeat Pansear.
PANNNNN!!!
Zorua's tackle was able to hit Pansear!
"When it comes to speed, Zorua is unbeatable!" Zhery complemented.
"PANNNSEARRRR!!!" Pansear burst in anger and used ember.
"Zorua dodge ember then use scratch!"
*Zorua was able to dodge ember*
*Pansear was also able to dodge scratch*
"Zorua use tackle again and again!"
Pansear was hit by a wave of tackles, but it seemed that Pansear won't give up.
Pansear used flame charge.
"Zorua use scratch!" When Zorua was about to use scratch, the attack turned purple and was able to hit Pansear.
"Kalem! Zorua learned Pursuit!" Zhery taught me.
"Oh really? Well then, Zorua use pursuit on Pansear."
Pansear was running out of options but it stood firmed and guarded the tree.
PAN... PAN...! Pansear said as he began to sob
Zorua suddenly stopped the pursuit and translated.
"Kalem, Pansear said that he will never give up on protecting them." Zorua translated.
"What did Zorua say?" Zhery queried.
"Pansear's protecting someone up in the tree." I translated.
I regret attacking Pansear as Glade walked closer to Pansear. Pansear stayed firm on the tree.
"Pan.. Pan!"
"Pansear said to leave his brothers alone!" Zorua translated.
"Glade, Pansear is protecting his brothers." I translated.
"His brothers?" Zhery queried.
"Is that why you stole our food?" Glade asked solemnly as he knelt in front of Pansear.
"You wanted to feed them right? That's why you stole food." Glade hunched.
Pansage nodded in front of Glade. He told Glade that his brother Pansage got very ill and that he and Panpour wanted to help heal his brother. So Pansear started to steal food from trainers like us so that Pansage could recover. But no matter what food Pansage eats, he doesn't get any better. Pansage's illness only got worse.
"Maybe I can help?" Zhery offered.
"You can trust Zhery, she's aiming to become a Pokemon doctor so, she probably knows what to do." Glade comforted.
Pansear went up the tree and brought down Pansage. Panpour went down as well. Zhery rushed to Pansage and got her stethoscope. She took Pansage's heartbeat and measured Pansage's temperature.
"Oh I know what Pansage has... Pansage has the Pokeflu. Good thing I have the perfect medicine needed to heal a Pokemon infected with a Pokeflu.
She grabbed a carbos and crushed it with her mortar and presle. She then added three crushed oran berries and two tablespoons of sugar. She let Pansage drink the medicine.
"P... Pan... Sage!"
"I know it tastes sour Pansage, but this will help you heal faster. In this way you can recover easily from the Pokeflu." Zhery explained.
We felt sorry for what we did to Pansear, so before we left, Glade gave Pansear, Pansage, and Panpour his last Aguav berry that he kept in his pocket.
"We hope that Pansage would get well soon!" We shouted as we left their humble abode.
"I guess I learned a very important topic..." Zhery beamed.
Me and Glade wondered what she learned. "I learned not to judge a Pokemon for doing something without knowing the reason for its actions," Zhery admitted.
"Oh, there you are!" Irys the Pokedex saw us as we approached our resting spot. Riolu and Roselia rushed and hugged us. I guess they got worried about us since we took so long. In the meantime, we saw Pansear behind us.
"Pan Pansear!"
Zorua told us that Pansear was apologizing for his actions. Pansear also said that if it wasn't for us, his brother Pansage wouldn't recover.
"Pan Pan! Pansear sear!"
Zorua got shocked by what Pansear said.
"Kalem, Pansear told me that he wants to join Glade!" Zorua translated.
"Hey Glade, I think Pansear wants to come with you!" I translated.
"Really Pansear?" Glade asked solemnly.
"Pan Pan Pansear Pansear sear Pansear!"
"Kalem, Pansear said that he asked permission from his brothers to let him accompany Glade on his journey. His brothers allowed him to go, since it was a token of gratitude for helping the three of them." Zorua translated.
"So do you really want to come with me Pansear?" Glade queried one more time as he held out his Pokeball.
Pansear smiled at Glade and tapped the Pokeball. Pansear didn't resist being caught.
"I just caught a Pansear!" Glade boasted.
Grrrgle Grrrgle...
"Oops... Forgive me, that was just my stomach!" Zhery apologized.
Pansear went out of his Pokeball and went up the tree. Moments later, a lot of berries fell down. Then Pansear spewed fire upon the berries. Our eyes were in awe as the smell from the roasted berries reached our nose.
"I didn't know you could roast berries Pansear!" Glade complemented.
Pansear smiled at all of us and began to join us eating. We may not have curry, for now, at least we have roasted berries! An original recipe from Glade's newly caught Pansear. A Pansear with a fiery heart and passion. A Pokemon who loved his brothers more than anyone else. A Pokemon with a searing recipe!
"Thank you for the food!" We all shouted as the wide yellow sun began to sleep. We marveled at the wide awaken moon before we slept. A memory, that we'll always cherish!
