Avery embarrassed to see Alex in the doorway. Unknowingly she stuck her tongue out. Her cheeks turned red with a shyness that did not escape from Alex's eyes. Then she turned her attention to her college bag which was placed on the couch.

"I have to go. I'm getting late." She hurried to the door after taking her backpack and as she was about to pass Alex, her wrist was caught in a strong but not painful grip.

"And where are you going without me, my little wife." He stepped into the room and closed the door with his feet. He pulled closer in a swift move which caused her collision on his chest.

"Tell me, love, where are you going without me?" He studied her face, "I think you forgot we are going together."
