"You caused it. If you had listened to me…" Before Jareth could finish talking, Astrid chipped in, angrily.

"If you had listened to me and let me rest, then I would not have been too tired to erect a barrier!"

"Feisty now, huh? Someone was being a good girl, days ago and apologized." He smirked at her and she wished she could just smack the smug look off his face.

"But you are repeating the very same thing again. What if something happens or someone attacked us, huh?" Aren't you worried?"

'Did he just say no?! Did Jareth just say no?!' She could not believe what she was hearing. The ever so stiff and disciplined Jareth did not care about an ambush.

Astrid narrowed her eyes at him expectantly, but his expression never changed.

She let out a sigh after some time and broke the silence. "Why? That is so unlike you."

"You said I should live life daily like it was my last."
