"Are you for real?" Her feet came to a sudden halt as she looked at me with bafflement. 

"Umm… I-I…" I didn't know how to respond to her offer. I didn't mind accepting it since I really wanted to make things right with her, but what was the use of opening up before her. 

"You sure know how to talk big." She glared at me. "Two seconds ago, you were almost begging me to let the whole thing go, and me being the good little girl was willing to do it. All I wanted in return was to know your side of the story so that I could understand you better, but here you are backing down. You sure don't look like someone who is guilty of what they did even the slightest bit." She continued.
