Capítulo 97: Intervention
Hellfire Club, Forbidden City
Ara Fan sat down to get a drink with Ban Ta and Pan Ta as they mopped about their loss earlier in the day. The two abnormal talkers had actually completely shut up. All they were doing was watching a fight against two women as they mocked their weakness without words.
Ara Fan also had on a slightly downcast expression as a girl with a black mask and gloves sat down across from her. When she was watching Ban Ta fight today, she hadn't been able to see who they were fighting It was like an illusion had been cast on her and she couldn't interfere with the strings of fate spinning all around her.
It felt horrible.
It felt like Zhou Kan was playing games with her again and she didn't like it. She knew that Zhou Kan was protective of her, more protective than most his women, but at the same time she let him suffer away from Lin Fan for years.
Lin Fan had been the favorite part of her day, her night, and her entire being. However, because of what happened with Li Rock she never had the courage to return to Eight Clan Mountain. She was too scared to face her little boy that was turned into a slave because of her malfeasance.
It pained her that Lin Fan was probably still suffering, and now matter how hard she tried she couldn't face talking to him...
"It's crazy outside..." A man with a black fur coat said as he sat down at the bar. "There is a trail of wooden statues as far as the eye can see... It seems like a powerful cultivator has taken a liking to Forbidden Valley..."
"Bad timing..." His friend replied with a cursory glance at the rain as it slammed against the metal awning. "The Empyrean Clans are around... The fact that an evil type would dare unleash his trangressions tonight is asking for trouble..."
"It was an accident..." Lo Zhou muttered as she listened to the men with a martini swirling in front of her. "I thought I could fully control it, but I can't..."
"Are you okay?" Ara Fan looked over at Lo Zhou as tears dripped down her eyes... "Is something bothering you?"
"I... I have to meet the man I'm supposed to marry tonight, but I'm afraid... Afraid to leave a trail of death and destruction... Afraid that he won't think I feel good because of the thorns in my body..."
"You shouldn't feel bad..." Ban Ta walked towards her and smiled as he put his hand against her back... "I lost really bad today to a man that a few years ago was a slave... We should share a drink and have fun tonight... I promise you will enjoy it when we wake up together..."
"Don't touch me..." Lo Zhou felt her roots starting to sprout up her back... "I can't fully control my urges... Don't make me hurt you..."
"He's harmless..." Ara Zhou whispered as a man walked towards her with a gigantic sword on his back with a grizzled beard... "He's never gotten lucky before, and tends to gravitate towards pretty girls that are out of his league..."
"I'm... I'm sorry, but Ara Fan... Her students... Me and this beautiful women have to have a chat." The masked man that was Zhou Kan said as he gently plucked Ara Fan's hand away from Lo Zhou's face. "You... you mind coming with me beautiful... I think some thorns can only be handled by gods..."
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Ban Ta thought to try and knock out the contemptuous fellow, but fell asleep immediately... Pan Ta also fell on the ground as did everyone in the establishment.
Ban Ta smiled and pushed back Lo Zhou's hair as her eyes watered. A wooden trail started to spread up Zhou Kan's skin before he smiled and caused the thorns growing up his body to break...
"My son... He'll be able to handle you..." Zhou Kan said with a smile... "Go get him, and forget you were ever here.. Forget about all the pain you caused, and go right to the Fan Sect..."
Zhou Kan snapped his fingers and Lo Zhou disappeared, reappearing at the bathroom where Lin Fan was currently letting off steam. He turned around and saw a beautiful women crying on the floor. At the same time, the three assassins from Little Quin had arrived...
"I really can't pee in peace... First Su Fan walks into the mens bathroom, and now this..."
