Capítulo 61: The Clash of Two Sides

"A little girl is crying, we should leave her some space!" Gin grinned and answered the question himself.

Only then Luna noticed, none of her friends approached after she started crying. 'Is he speaking the truth, did all of them see me as a little girl?'

"Come on, we have to discuss what are we going to do next." Gin said and offered his hand for help.

'Snort!' Wiping her tears, Luna stood up ignoring his help and went to call her friends. Soon, everyone gathered in a circle while Gin spoke of his plan.

"The Fiends will reach the spot where the other group stays, any minute now. There are more than 300 fiends in their group, it's nearly impossible to win them head-on."

"What are we going to do then?" A youth with golden hair asked.

"We are doing nothing."

"Nothing? Are we abandoning fellow humans?" Another youth squinted his eyes. If Gin answered yes, he would walk out.

"No. We are going to remain patient until both groups engage in a battle and attack the fiends when they least expect." Gin stated.

"Are there are any long-range weapon users here?" Gin asked.

Feal was the first to raise her hands, while another six followed. "Good, you guys will maintain some distance away from the battle spot and strike the Fiends that may endanger our lives."

"Watch your backs and choose the opponents wisely— one that you're confident in defeating." Gin announced.

"Let's go, the Fiends should have finished off all the magical beasts by now." Gin led the group to the spot the human group and Fiend group are going to meet.

5 mins later,

The Fiend group stood frozen, watching the 170 some humans standing before them. Raz didn't expect to meet humans, not this many.

Even so, it didn't frighten or alarm him in any way as the number of fiend minions on his side is at least double that of humans.

'Did Darkfang got killed by these human youths? Is the disappearance of some fiends related to them too?" Numerous possibilities flashed past his mind.

The Fiends behind Raz emitted a chilly aura, the hate they have towards humans can't be described in words. Just outside the ruin, some of their friends got annihilated by human experts without any mercy.

The 170-some human youths looked at the Fiends with battle intent but some of them were nervous and sweating. Even though they were expecting the Fiends' arrival, imagining and facing it yourselves are completely different concepts.

Before meeting the Fiends, they were confident, arrogant, and fearless. But now, facing 300-some Fiends who all discovered 8 or 9 hidden seals; scared their wits out.

Most of the youths present here are from the core regions, so they were trained to handle such situations. They are the first ones to recover and boosted other spirits by presenting a look, 'I am here, no one needs to fear!'

There were no chattings, curses, or threats. The two groups just clashed with one another, there were only sounds of weapon 'clanking' and 'bam' sounds of punches colliding.

Gin's group arrived at perfect timing, just to witness the two sides colliding with one another; they didn't join the battle but waited patiently.

They will strike, right when the Fiends show tiredness on their faces. It won't be long since they just finished battling the magical beasts lured by them.

The humans were at a disadvantage because of the numbers, but it was what drove them crazy and made them do some extreme things.

Kicking at a Fiend's groin, scratching like cats, some bit their opponents while two youths even spat at their opponent's faces.

Watching the battle from the sideline, showed them a different aspect of the fight; even though it seemed more like a street fight.

Gin's group could understand such actions because when cornered, even they would something like that.

A certain figure drew Gin's attention - Adrin the youth who hails from the same academy as Luna and got thrashed by Gin before.

"What happened to the thirty-some humans? Tell me, what happened to Little sister Luna? Ahhh, I am going to kill every one of you." Adrin frenziedly attacked and roared at the Fiends.

Just a glance, anyone could tell Adrin has a thing for Luna in his heart. Gin glanced at Luna and spoke, "Looks like you have fans of your own. I underestimated you."

Luna blushed and glared at Adrin in disgust. 'How could he have such thoughts about me? I am only fourteen! He's definitely a pervert."

If Adrin knows Luna stamped him as a pervert, he would die in grief as he has done nothing wrong, other than adoring her silently.

All his sweet talks, coaxing, and months of following behind her like a dog, everything went down the drain and it was done by himself.

In truth, Adrin is a handsome youth with refined facial features and scholarly appearance. He's strong as he alone killed 10 Fiends, while he has already discovered 10 hidden seals.

He's a perfect boyfriend that every girl wants to marry – powerful and charismatic. If not for today's emotional outbreak, who knows? he may have succeeded in gaining Luna's love in the future, but not anymore.

If it's anyone else besides Gin, he may not be defeated at all. Pity, he met Gin and got thrashed, ruining his powerful image.

Apart from Adrin, there were many geniuses in the crowd with excellent strength and combat skills. Especially a green-haired youth, who was able to persist under Raz's powerful weapon swings.

"Who is he?" Gin asked Shaun about the green-haired youth.

"A genius of Greyhound family from Northern wind domain - Asher, a crafty fellow; he's also a student of Sacred Union Institute," Shaun replied.

"He's good" Gin commented.

"Of course, he is! Don't underestimate these youths, some of them are potential candidates who will inherit their family head position in the future."

"I admit, we are stronger than them now, but that's because they want to discover more hidden seals. Once they break through to the seal opening stage, their strength will soar to a whole new level."

"All of them are greedy, as they want to discover the 11th hidden seal which was only discovered by fewer than five peoples in the entire continent," Shaun explained.

"Is discovering the 11th hidden seal that difficult?" Gin asked.

"Yes, just hard work isn't enough. We physique cultivators just need to work harder, train like crazy, and strengthen our physique; For them, it's different." Shaun continued.

"Their talent, type of spirit seal, resources, and luck determine the number of hidden seals they uncover," Shaun explained.

Hearing Shaun's words, Gin contemplated and didn't know why but a thought came to his mind, 'I am different from them.'

Just after 5 mins, the battle reached a crucial step. The humans killed more than 100-some Fiends while 50 fiends were heavily injured.

Gin didn't expect such good results, even though it was partially because the fiends were already half exhausted, it's better than he envisioned.

Even if he led the battle, the results would have been much lower. Because, now the human youths are fighting for their lives, not for victory.

Fear made them struggle stronger and was able to bring out their full potential. Even though some humans lost their lives, it's unavoidable in battle.

Warriors aren't born from the sky, they were birthed from the blood of their friends and enemies alike.

Gin knows its a perfect time to support the human group from the back. If he tarries any longer, more lives would be lost.

"Kill them all, don't let anyone survive."

"Long-range weapon users — watch our backs and shoot any fiends who try to escape." Gin commanded and dashed towards the Fiend group while Shaun, Luna, and other youths followed his back.

The sudden onslaught by Gin's group caught the Fiends off guard. Before they could react and defend against the attacks of Gin's group, more than twenty Fiends lost their lives.

Within 10 minutes, most of the Fiends were killed while the remaining 20 some Fiends formed a circular formation protecting Raz and defended against the attacks.

As seconds passed, the fiend minions collapsed to the ground one by one. Finally, only Raz, Bad-omen, and other two fiends persisted but they too were panting and sweating heavily.

Suddenly, several youths swiftly pounced on these last four fiends and slaughtered them without any mercy. As they were severely weakened and drained of energy, they couldn't block more than two attacks.

At last, all the Fiends were killed. The entire area was filled with their corpses as they lay dead in heaps, while blood flowered the ground and tree trunks.

Some of the human youths collapsed to the ground, injured and exhausted. Most were tired and mentally drained, while some were shaking from the cold feelings that wrapped them.

None of the youths were joyful about the victory, as more than 50 human youths have lost their lives in the battle.
