Capítulo 294: Have you made your decision?
Yu Chen stared at the wall clock as she stood up. It was a little later than nine o'clock, a little too late for visits.
"Hey Zenghai, Hua has night shift today didn't you..." Yu Chen assumed it was Huo Zenghai as she opened the door. Chen's voice trailed off as she stared at Si Xia, standing in the doorway, wearing his work clothes.
Chen looked at Xia up and down, they had had no contact ever since he came to meet her at the hospital. Yu Chen had many times been on the verge of calling him, but she had just barely stopped herself thinking over his words, "I need some time."
Yu Chen snapped out of her trance and stepped aside, saying, "Come in."
She closed the door after Si Xia and followed him back to the living room.
Yu Chen hurriedly removed the blanket from the couch and switched off the T.V.
She asked as Xia sat down, "What would you like? Juice? Beer?"
Xia frowned, "Juice will be fine."
Yu Chen nodded and went into the kitchen. She wondered to herself what decision Xia had come to as she poured a glass of juice.
"I only hope this awkwardness goes away. I didn't think talking with Xia could ever become this awkward." She sighed to herself as she walked back into the living room.
As Yu Chen set the glass and sat down, Xia asked, "How have you been?"
Yu Chen answered with a nod, "Good."
Another awkward silence settled between the two.
Finally, Yu Chen could take it no longer and said, "Xia? Have you made your decision?"
Si Xia put down the glass to juice and said, looking straight into Chen's eyes, "I haven't." These two words felt like someone was squeezing Chen's heart. He was still confused between her and Chang? Just how much had she overestimated his love for her?
But these emotions never showed on her face as she asked, "Then.... you're here to visit?"
Si Xia looked away and fixed the T.V. with his gaze, "I need to ask you a few questions. I'll have made my decision by the time you're done answering."
Yu Chen tilted her head. She had a weird feeling in her stomach, what did Xia want to ask her?
Si Xia whipped out his phone and handed it to Chen after a few taps, "Is this you?" he asked.
Yu Chen took the phone with a confused expression and looked at it. She was a bit taken aback to see a photo of her and Sam sitting on a rooftop side by side. She remembered this photo, some reporter had taken it trying to get a new scoop into Sam's life.
"Yeah. This is. Why are you....." Yu Chen began but Si Xia cut in, "When this photo was taken, did you, or did you not, say that you were scared about how much you love me."
Yu Chen's eyes widened upon hearing this. How? How did Si Xia know about that? Who? Had Sam told him? Why? Why would Sam? Why would he do something like this? Did he really know about that conversation?
While Yu Chen was fumbling with these questions, Si Xia nodded with a bitter smile, "Okay. I got my answer."
