Capítulo 171: Si Xia's tactic
Si Xia's face looked like a little puppy when he lifted it and stared at Yu Chen.
Yu Chen was flustered, 'did he really want her to stay at his place? But she shouldn't. She couldn't.' Yu Chen looked at that face which looked like he had really lost his heart.
Her eyes began to dart everywhere except his face and after a while, Si Xia looked down and began eating, like a dejected puppy.
Yu Chen's heart began to ache seeing him like that. She said, "I'll come visit."
Si Xia nodded his head, not even looking up.
Yu Chen tried to cheer him up again, "We'll be living in the same city. We'll meet everyday."
Si Xia looked up and nodded, his puppy eyes looking straight into Chen's.
Yu Chen felt like someone had reached into her chest and gripped onto her heart tightly. She was having trouble breathing, seeing Xia like that.
When Yu Chen was about to finally give up, Xi Hua suddenly said, "Don't you think that's enough pretending Xia?"
Si Xia looked up at Xi Hua, who motioned with her face towards Yu Chen, who looked like she was physically suffering.
Si Xia looked down again and Xi Hua said, "I know how good of an actor you are. So I'm not falling for it. Come on, pay up, Mr. Money bags."
Si Xia looked up stiffling a laughter and said, "You saw right through me. I guess the same tricks only works for so many times."
Saying this he called for the bill and seemed like he resumed his usual demeanor.
Yu Chen was a little, okay, a lot surprised at his acting skills. After they were done, the three went down and they put Yu Chen's luggage from Xia's car into Hua's car.
The two girls then said bye to Si Xia and set off towards Xi Hua's apartment.
Inside the car, Yu Chen asked, "Hey, Hua. How could you tell Xia was only pretending to be sad?"
Xi Hua: "Oh you don't know how many times I've been fooled by that face."
Yu Chen: "Is that true...?"
Xi Hua: "Yeah. He's gotten really good at acting you know. Sometimes, even we are not able to tell what's his real side."
Hearing this, Yu Chen sunk deep into thought.
But Xi Hua had not gotten the proper gossip out of her yet. She asked, "So, why had a tomato replaced your face when we reached the restaurant."
Yu Chen remembered how they had kissed in the car and the driver had seen them. She felt embarrassed and looked out of the window.
But Xi Hua was not about to give up. She pestered Chen, "Come on. Tell me, I'm your best friend, no?"
Seeing that Hua had played the best friend card, Yu Chen knew that she could not escape telling her. So she said in a small murmur, "Me and Xia...We...we kissed."
Xi Hua looked at Yu Chen with her eyeballs almost popping out. She exclaimed, "YOU KISSED!?!?!?!?"
Yu Chen was scared and she said, "Hua, Hua. Keep your eyes on the road. Damn Hua, you're going in the opposite lane."
Xi Hua suddenly realised that she had indeed gotten on the opposite lane and their car was about to hit one coming ahead. She turned the staring wheel with all her might and managed to avoid crashing and park the car on the side of the road.
