Last time, it was a purely innocent situation whereby Xu Weilai merely watched over Zuo An while he slept. But now, he had made the situation sound strangely suggestive with his choice of words.

Xu Weilai choked on his words and coughed a few times.

Zuo An could tell how awkward she was and explained softly, "I'm just joking. The reason I'm not leaving now is that I want to attend to your wound first. Are you sure you don't need to go to the hospital?"

"No, I'm fine," Xu Weilai repeatedly declined. "I don't need to go to the hospital and neither do you need to attend to my wound. I could do it on my own..."

However, Zuo An merely behaved as if he did not hear her and reached out his hands to take over the two heavy shopping bags from her. He then made his way up the steps and entered the apartment block.
