Xu Weilai looked down at her phone and realised that it was a call from her boss.

Pursing her lips lightly, she swiped across the screen and held her phone up to her ear before she greeted, "Hello."

"Weilai, have you arrived home?" Zuo An asked in a slow, gentle voice.

"Yes."

"Is CEO Gu alright? He isn't drunk, is he?" Zuo An enquired with a hint of concern in his voice.

If Zuo An had the intention to deceive someone, Xu Weilai felt certain that it would be quite impossible to guard against him for he was so gentle that he seemed almost harmless.

"He's fine. He told me to leave after I sent him back to his apartment," Xu Weilai noted calmly.

Although Xu Weilai expected Zuo Anto press on, he merely replied, "Good. It's been hard on you tonight. Rest early then. Good night."

"Oh. Good night..."

After hanging up the call, Xu Weilai frowned and her heart was once again filled with doubts.
