Teach had managed to take Kaido's place as [Yonko], after eliminating all of his remaining loyal men, except the [Three Disasters] who had managed to escape after murdering almost all the underlings Teach had gotten these past few years.
"The old man has lived more than enough I wouldn't be surprised if he died naturally at any moment, the vitality I gave him, ran out after so many battles against the pirates of [Kurohige]" - Kurama replied while shaking his head - "Well, there are things that no matter how much we try to change them, they will always return to their predestined beginning."
"The good thing, is that at least he has been able to train his children, with this, they won't suffer as much after his departure" - muttered Rayleigh while looking at the blue sky, only to shake his head - "Anyway, I didn't come looking for you to talk about such depressing topics as Edward's early death"
"I know, you probably wish to accompany us to [Gyojin Island], to meet with Newgate-san" - Kurama said calmly, after all, he would not only go to talk to his in-laws but also talk to [Shirohige] about the idea of becoming his "heir" as [Yonko].
Kurama was not very passionate about that idea because he found it unnecessary, but after seeing the current state of the balance between the remaining forces, he decided to think twice about it.
Charlotte Linlin was allied with Teach to eliminate [Shirohige], and from the obviousness of Teach's desire to eliminate his former captain, it was clear that it was not for revenge, but another ulterior motive.
Shanks was allied with Edward Newgate, but they both knew it was a matter of time before that alliance would end, not because either side wanted it to, but because [Shirohige] had one foot in the grave thanks to his advanced age and multiple past injuries.

"Because they need to solve their problems themselves" - replied Kurama neutrally - "I'm not going to be solving their complexes because they would end up having a huge dependency on me."
"You have a point, they would lose all will to continue growing" - nodded Rayleigh as he started to think - "I guess that also applies with the [Yonko], without them, the rookies wouldn't try to get stronger, and even if they were gone, there are hundreds of pirates who have sought to replace them, but they can't because they are not strong enough."
"Exactly, the [Yonko] is a force that maintains balance despite their distinct selves" - Kurama said calmly as he picked up his daughter and played with her nose - "But before long, they won't be needed anymore."
"I only ask you to have mercy on Shanks" - said Rayleigh as she sighed.
"It depends on his actions, though so far, I haven't seen him do anything that would merit his extermination" - Kurama replied calmly as the group continued towards their destination.

"I see they're catching up" - Rayleigh said with a smile as he saw how Luffy was joking along with his Nakama and Mei, the strange girl who had been following the captain of the straw hat crew.
"Yeah, what I'm surprised to hear, is that our idiot captain, managed to get a girlfriend long before Zoro and Sanji" - said Nami, who had matured into a seductive woman.
"And what about me?" - Usopp asked with a frown as he snorted with irritation.
"Come on, you've been in love with Miss Kaya since years ago, it showed when we first met you" - replied Nami as Usopp blushed - "And if I'm honest, I think she was also interested in you even though she knew you were lying to her with your stories."
"Really?" - Usopp asked hopefully as he remembered the beautiful girl who had been locked up in his mansion for years.
"You guys have changed more than I thought" - Kurama said as he walked in behind Rayleigh along with Hancock, Kalifa, Shirahoshi, and his Rei.
"Rubber head!" - Rei shouted with a smile.
"Don't call me that, you little brat!" - Luffy roared, only to groan in pain as he felt Mei smack him in the head with her Haki imbued fist - "Why are you hitting me!"
"Because you're badmouthing the daughter of the man who can annihilate your entire crew in a matter of seconds" - Mei growled in annoyance.
"He's Kurama, he won't do something like that" - replied Luffy as he folded his arms, only to groan in pain because Mei had again hit him.
"Well, at least now we have a way to control our idiot captain" - Zoro said as he gave a blank look to the woman who was lashing out at their leader - "With her, our journey will be much better."
"I think the same thing, although I don't understand how that idiot managed to conquer such a beautiful girl like her" - Sanji said with a frown as blood ran down his nose.
"I wonder the same thing too, but we can say it was the idiot's luck" - replied Kurama while shrugging his shoulders - "I mean, this lucky fool, landed on [Amazon Lily] just at the moment Ace was in [Impel Down], he landed on the only place where he could get the help to save his brother."
Kurama was about to say something else when he felt someone cover his eyes with their hands, and a soft feeling pressed against his back - "You've kept me waiting for years, Kurama-san."
"It's not my fault, it was Hancock who gave you that test, not me" - Kurama replied while shrugging his shoulders - "It's still a pleasure to see you, Olive-san"
"Just tell me, Olive, remember everything we've done together" - said Olive, who seemed to have returned to her 25 years of age, only to throw a neutral look at the [Pirate Empress] - "Hancock"
"Olive, I see my ordeal hasn't made you change" - said Hancock as she narrowed her eyes, not noticing how Sanji was shot backward by a huge spurt of blood coming out of his nose, after all, he had seen how the two seductive women, were pressing their huge breasts against each other, a scene too erotic for someone who had been cohabiting with Okamas and his resistance to women had declined to catastrophic levels.
"No need to change when I'm perfect" - Olive snorted as the gaze of the two women seemed to be shooting lightning bolts.
"Women are scary" - muttered Chopper as he hid behind Zoro.
"And they're annoying" - Zoro added, only to freeze when he noticed how the women present, even the kind Shirahoshi, was looking at him with hostility - ". . ."
