Capítulo 7: Growing up
It's been six months since Mimin joined our Family.
Now, she's able to recognize what her name sounds like. She was taught about her name by the female White Fox of that group.
Other Silverwolves and White Foxes were not comfortable around her, and didn't completely accept her at first. It is understandable. We hardly see humans inside this Forest of Magic, and when we do, the humans always attack us. Mimin was someone that they were unfamiliar with.
To make it worse, she's a human with unknown origins, seemingly appearing out of nowhere in the forest, and missing a pair of ears. Because of this, Mimin was disliked for being abnormal, on top of being a human.
However, one month after being taken in, she became one of us. She inherited the Silverwolf's and the White Fox's characteristics, and became a beastkin overnight. With how drastic of a change she went through, she was even more feared by everyone at first. It took some time, but everyone slowly came to accept her as a beastkin of their kind.
They became more comfortable with Mimin and they started observing her behavior. She was always moving her ears and tail around without any troubles. To the extent that it seems like she was always a beastkin to begin with.
Everyone was relieved when they observed her. Mimin is just a regular child, who didn't seem to dislike them like other humans do, and they start to find themselves foolish for avoiding her. As such, they gradually came to accept her.
Currently, Mimin's only six months old, but she is already able to walk. I suppose it isn't anything strange as she does have the strength of the Silverwolf.
She practices by walking towards a Silverwolf or White Fox, leaning against their fur for a while, before approaching someone else in her field of vision. Her tail swaying around with every step she takes, her ears twitching whenever she hears the telepathy of others.
As such, the days go on while I watch Mimin do this everyday.
Ah, she is wearing clothing now, by the way. Apparently the White Fox Elder made this herself, with the fur of the Silverwolves and White Foxes that she's gathered these past few months. It's a frilly dress of grey fur, with white fur to make patterns and decorations in front. A hole is neatly cut out at the back to allow her tail to perfectly fit through.
I wonder, when was the last time the White Fox Elder put in effort to do something like this? It's unusual of her.

Mimin is currently two years old. Days have went by quickly as the White Fox Elder and I continues to observe Mimin. Her dress has also been modified to fit her perfectly again.
Her ears and tails have grown bigger and furrier. The Silverwolves and White Foxes are perfectly fine with being around her now, and having her as a part of the Family.
She's able to run and jump now, too. Her strength and stamina seems to be growing at a fast rate like the Silverwolf. In the past she would fall down face first into the dirt, but she simply takes a break before continuing.
Seriously, does this child have pain resistance or something? She rarely ever cries from pain and injuries.
Mimin is also able to speak now. She knows some words and can say them, but she can't pronounce some syllables clearly.
I was slightly worried that Mimin would never learn how to talk with her mouth, since none of us Silverwolves and White Foxes can actually talk, we just use telepathy. Instead, it seems like she knows how to talk, but is unable to use her telepathy.
Well, this is normal for a beastkin, I suppose.
Today, she approaches me and tries to say the same thing like usual.
"Mimii, pwway!"
Ah, she wants to play again. Does she consider running and jumping around as playing?
Now she's looking up at me, with slightly moist eyes and a hopeful look.
What is this? Where did you learn this from? Who taught you to act in front of me like this? It's probably that female White Fox, I knew something was off with her ever since Mimin became a beastkin.
(Ah, sure.)
"Yay!"
And... She's gone. She's only two years old, but she can run at such a high speed already. Even if it's because of her strength, it's still impressive to watch.
When that group returns later, I'll need to have a nice, long discussion with that female White Fox. What is she even teaching Mimin at her young age? Did she think that such a trick will work on me, the 800 years old Silverwolf Elder?
Mimin is already cute. There is no need to teach her that. Teach her something else more useful, please.

Four years. It's already been four years since we have taken in Mimin as part of our Family.
Time sure flies really quickly, huh.
I never really noticed it in the 800 years of my life, though. Is it because of Mimin that I'm starting to see time go by so quickly?
Once again, her dress has been modified to fit her perfectly. Really, when is the last time the White Fox Elder put in effort like this? I can't seem to remember.
Her ears and tail have grown bigger and furrier, again. It's good to see that she's growing properly, without issues.
Mimin's strength and stamina continues to grow as expected. She's now fast enough to disappear in the blink of an eye. She also doesn't seem to get tired from physical activities anymore.
Actually, isn't that speed faster than the average Silverwolf of her age? It's only slightly faster, so there's nothing to concern myself over, I suppose.
She understands most of the language now. This is normal if she's also inherited the Silverwolf's and White Fox's intelligence. She seems to have little to no issues speaking normally now.
She's still unable to use telepathy though. At least, she's never used it to talk to us, she's never needed it. Has she even been taught to use telepathy in the first place?
She's currently fluffing my fur like she's been doing this entire morning. Is it really that entertaining to just touch my fur?
(Mimin, what exactly are you trying to do?)
"Fluffy!"
Hah? How did that become my name!? That group didn't teach her to do this now, did they?
Well, they shouldn't dare to, after the discussion I had with the female White Fox two years ago... Is Mimin doing this herself?
(I can't sleep with you behaving like this, you know?)
"No! Fluffy!"
What is this kid doing, I wonder. She's never done this before, why now? I need to get some more sleep, I need to meet my daily requirements. Mimin, please stop whatever you're doing soon.
She's not going to stop any time soon, is she? Haah... There goes my sleep time.
I can't stand this if she continues doing this every day! I'm not even going to live my full life of 1000 years because of this child!
Mimin also does this to the White Fox Elder, but with her fox tails. I guess that means we're both going to die early taking care of Mimin.
Ah, what am I saying? There's no way that'll happen, right? We'll all live together like this for as long as we can, spending every day enjoying our lives to the fullest. Right?
...
For the first time, I realise. I'm happy that I met Mimin and get to spend time with her.
