Capítulo 7: Love Me Not
Venusa was awakened with a smell of breakfast outside the tent. Her naked body was strained by their ceaseless carnal activities. She yawned since she had only slept for a couple of hours.
Looking around, she realized that Damian's gorgeous warm body was no longer next by her side.
With both hands, she palmed her face while furiously kicking the blanket out from her body. Again, she had let her heart fluttered and her wantonness had taken over.
Abruptly, she collected her clothes and wore them in high-speed. In a minute, she was out from the tent and land her eyes on his dignified icy figure.
He was eating casually without a care of the world. She was enraged with his cold composure. 'How dare that scoundrel left me alone and acted that nothing ever happened.'
Dane was approaching her with a breakfast plate and said mockingly, " Eat.., do you have enough?"
She scowled at him challengingly. "Do you want a duel?", she warned him a fate worse than death by her murderous aura.
Dane was back to sit next to Willis, leaving her only one spot to sit next to the potent man. In the early morning, it was still cold in the rainforest and she had no option than huddled close by the campfire.
"We leave in 10 minutes!" The unemotional man ordered harshly.
At the moment, she was wishing that she could read his mind and revealed the secret of his heart. Just last night, he was a hot-blooded beast, but now, he had turned into a ruthless man.
- Emperor city, the emperor chamber -
Damian Shen was bowing military-style and requested with urgency, "Emperor.., please give us your command! The rebels were back in the Capital city and causing riots."
The emperor chamber was privileged only for his powerful Marshals. For forty years, he ruled with steel hands and with the help of his two powerful Marshal who had pledged loyalty on him, the kingdom had prospered without outside war. However, the internal war within the continent had been killing many of his citizens and caused a big turmoil.
"I will send Marshal Lang and his men to go to the capital city in three days, and we will recruit all young and capable men! This time we will annihilate the rebels completely!"
"Your majesty, I also come here to let my personal guard, Willis and a bomb technician, Dane to serve and protect you. They had been trained successfully by a Golden Wolf agent."
The emperor nodded happily," I will accept your protection! I believe in your judgment, a bomb technician is a great addition to the palace. We don't have one yet, so I believe you won't give him out unless you have someone to replace him, while I have many guards, it still great to have one more personal guard! From your recommendation, he must be skillful in martial arts!", the emperor nodded approvingly. He is quite old but he is still sharp and wise. He continued, "I am so proud of you, Marshall Shen. Because of your military strategy and strength, the rebels can not break through to emperor city! I will reward you handsomely when we defeated the rebels completely!"
"Thank you, your majesty!" Respectively, he bowed his goodbye.

After saying goodbye to Dane and Willis, because from now on they have to serve closely by the emperor's side, she headed to the guest room where she would spend the night with the unemotional man.
"I need to talk to you, Damian!" she glared at him angrily.
He was sitting on the dining chair and drinking his wine gracefully. At the moment she entered the room, his heart palpitating with dread. The plain woman bore no resemblance with his beloved wife, but she scented and tasted the same. When she was near, he struggled hard to keep his cold facade not to hugged her tight. However, when Venusa died, he had vowed that he won't give his heart to another woman.
"What do you called me? You are not allowed to call me informally! I am a powerful Marshal and you are my underling! You should respect me properly and called me Marshall Shen and not my given name!"
She was aghast with his absurd command and replied, " After you took advantage of me last night, I don't need to follow the rule anymore! You broke the rule by getting into a personal relationship with me!"
"It was mutual consent, you had been following me around with your wild eyes and begged for it with your juicy body!", his voice was husky with desire.
She gasped with a confounded irritation. "You are a ridiculous man, and for your information, you are not that great of a lover.., you finished to fast!", she mocked him and running toward the door to escape him.
Without mercy, the savage man was lifting her up by her waist and locked her hands behind her body. He was mad with a burning longing toward the undisciplined woman.
Venusa struggled with all her power to be free from his overbearing body lock. She stepped hard on his foot, but he didn't budge. Instead, he threw her body on the spacious bed and immediately handcuffed both of her hands on each side of the bed frame.
"Let me go, you deviant scoundrel!"
Damian paused and questioned her in utter shock, "What do you say?", he shook his head unbelievingly.
He remembered it just like yesterday, the words was belong to Venusa Chen on their first night with a similar situation. In a state of bewilderment, he threw the cuff key into her hand which she caught easily.
He retorted in distress," I will sleep somewhere else and from now on don't be familiar with me, last night was a mistake! Don't fall for me..., guard Lee, because I would never love you back!"
His thought was running rampage with the memory of his lovable wife.
Venusa was his only true love, the plain woman was just a replacement because her attitude, scent, and lovemaking style was the same copy of his late wife. He had to stay away from her before he made a stupid mistake of loving her as Venusa substitute.
After 10 minutes of struggling with the key in her mouth, Venusa was finally able to be free from her restraint.
She shouted in anger, " Darn you.., such a cold man like you.., I would love you not!"
Damian Shen left a big hole in her heart. She had never got over him, but this time she must overcome her feeling and free herself from the cage of love, 16 years of loving him since she was twelve to no avail.
She sighed heavily at the thought of saying goodbye to him for the third time. Her mind was wondering wildly. 'He will never be mine..., not in the past, present, or future.., our destiny had ended when Venusa Shen fake her death..., now, Venn Lee is my identity..., He had another child with another woman, and probably, he genuinely loves this woman and he was mad for betraying his love.., he was just having a fling with me.., while the other woman is his true love..., oh.., why is suddenly my heart felt like it had been stabbed by a thousand knives...'
