Capítulo 37: Reunion
Everyone turns to the queen who was facing Fynas.
"H...husband, help me this time" Queen Melissa look at King Lucas with pitiful eyes. If she wanted to survive and get out of this place. Only he could help her.
King Lucas has a complex expression on his face. That was his wife and although there was very little to no love between them. She was still his wife and the queen of the kingdom. All the years they've been together was rather peaceful.
However, that all changed several days ago. Who would have thought that his queen is colluding with her father to poison and kill him. The peaceful life in the past was just a prologue for their scheme.
King Lucas avoided the gaze of the queen and said, "Take her away and put her in the prison"
When Melissa heard the cold words of her husband, her eyes turned red in anger and yelled at him, "Lucas! I've been with you for many years. I have tried my best to become a queen suitable for you. Although there are no deep feelings between us. I still do what I can to support you. However that all changes when that slut arrives at the palace. Tell me, why are you so heartless? My father will do justice for me!"
Hearing her words, King Lucas turns to her and his eyes flashed in many words but his mouth didn't move. He sighs deeply and slowly said, "Your father, Han Goldling won't be able to do anything this time"
Melissa narrowed her eyes and asked, "And why is that?"
Looking directly at her eyes, King Lucas mercilessly said, "Because he is already dead. I killed him before I arrive here. The troops of your Goldling Family and Manniger Family was already gone. While the soldiers remaining in the capital were the troops that my son bring with him. Meaning, your plans had failed"
The queen hearing that her strong father was dead wanted to retort and deny her husband's words. But seeing the serious and calm look in his eyes, she knew that he is telling the truth. Because she believes that even with all the things that happened. He will not lie to her about this.
Two barbarians came inside and carry the queen who already lost her will to live. Her son's death was a huge blow in both her heart and mind which is already enough to make her crazy. Adding the news that her father was killed by her husband, her whole being simply couldn't handle it all.
After the queen was dragged out of the room. King Lucas turns to Lori and said, "Son, with your brother dead. You are the only remaining heir for the throne as both of your sisters didn't have the capability to become a leader. That's why I've decided this earlier, that I will pass the throne to you and you will become the new king of the Silverwing Kingdom"
His father's sudden announcement surprise everyone especially Lori. But before Lori could speak, his father continues.
"I know you might think that my decision was rather impulsive and I need to think it through several more times, it is not. Being a king for over a decade is already enough for me. After what happened, I know I'm not really suited to become a king. But you are different from me, you've managed to gather so many people in following you. I'm not saying that it is because of that that I plan to pass the throne to you early. It is just that I have a feeling that if I did this, the kingdom will prosper much more in your hands. But don't worry, I and everyone will support you in leading us" Lucas patted his son on his shoulder with a proud smile on his face."Also, if I pass the throne to you earlier. I and your mother will have enough time to maybe, just maybe create a little more siblings for you"
Selena who heard his words turned bright red as she glares at her husband with an embarrassed expression.
"Husband, how about me? Will, you also create little kids with me?" a shy voice sounded and they saw Mill who arrived with Crocodile.
"Mother!" seeing her mother safe, Rose immediately runs to her embrace and started crying. Although her brother told her that her mother was safe. She couldn't calm her restless heart. After all, it is her mother who she dearly loves.
"My cute daughter you are already big. Why are you still acting like a child? See, you snot already stained my clothes. Aren't you afraid that everyone will laugh at you seeing you like this?" although she sounds she was complaining, her eyes were red and tears started to fall from them. She has a gentle and warm smile on her face as she embraces the petite body of her daughter. Though it was just a couple of days, she misses her daughter like she was gone for several years.
Hearing her mother, Rose began to hug her mother tightly and lovingly said, "I don't care. They can laugh at me as much as they want"
"This little girl" Mill said softly.

Several days later, the events that happened in the palace were known by the people in the capital. Also, they knew about the plan of the now-former queen and her father to kill the previous King Lucas and take the kingdom.
However, their plan was destroyed and stopped when the known trash prince brought men in the capital and stop them. The Manniger Family who was working with the Goldling Family was destroyed and all members of the family were killed while their properties were seized by the throne.
But what shocked them all was that the king passes the throne to his remaining son, Lori Silverwing. Although the people in the capital questioned the sudden passing of the throne. They didn't voice it out and just wait for the next news.
"Hey, have you heard the rumors spreading in the capital?" a man on the streets asked another man.
"What rumor? Is it about the former queen? And the news that she will be executed for her crimes?" the other man replies clearly up to date about the events in the capital.
"Yes that one, didn't think that the previous prince would be so ruthless to even order the execution of the former queen"
"Why do I feel that you were pitying the queen? Don't forget that she and her father was the one who rebels against the king. If they succeed, do you think they will spare everyone? They even tried to kill the king by poisoning him. For me, it is a wise decision to kill her" the man replied.
"Haa, it is just that the queen is a rare beauty. Killing her is such a loss for a man like me"

After he finished his words, he was slapped ruthlessly by the man in front of him. "Say those words again and I will pull out your tongue. If the guards heard you, they will kill you and me. If you want to die, don't drag me with you!"

In one of the peaks, a beautiful woman with a platinum silver hair was holding a small slip. The slip contains a message that happened in the Silverwing Kingdom.
As she read what was written in the slip. Her expression turns from cold to a warm smile. Her smile was so beautiful that it pales the bright moon in the night sky. Her hair that flutters with the blowing of the cold wind made her look like a celestial being that shouldn't exist in this mortal world.
"I should return home to attend my brother's ceremony" the jade slip in her hand turns into several white lights before disappearing into thin air. She watches the night sky as she thinks of something in her mind.
