Capítulo 194: World building game (1085 words)

Sitting in an old school office are two people.

One of them is a middle-aged man with dark brown hair cut short and with a carefully trimmed beard.

He wears a pair of black framed glasses on his nose that allow clear view of the deep green eyes behind them.

The other one is a woman in her twenties with straight black hair and brown eyes.

Both of them are holding a steaming cup of tea and starring at each other.

Taking a careful sip of her cup the woman was the first to break the silence.

"What is it that you want from me? If you are truly what you claim to be then you should find yourself to be more than capable to solve things on your own." Blunt in her approach the woman utters the first point of interest on her mind.

Also taking a sip from his cup, the middle-aged man savors the taste for a moment before answering.

"I indeed am capable to solve the situation, but you could see this as a reward of a kind. You caught my interest, and I would be overjoyed to see how you would hold yourself in this kind of situation." His words are well measured and cause a frown to appear between the woman's brows.

Letting the man's words sink in the woman takes another sip of tea.

"Very well then, I will listen to your proposal." Having made up her mind she releases a sigh.

Smiling at her words the man sets down his cup and crosse his fingers.

"Good, then let me explain. The world I want to drop you in is called Gallea and follows the theme of a typical sword and magic world. There are elf's, dwarf's, beastmen, dragons, fairies and many more fantastical creatures in that world." Nodding at his words the woman too places down her cup.

"The problem lies with the fact that every 5'000 years everything will be reset because a creature residing on another planet in the same solar system that drains all magic from the world, killing everything with a certain amount of mana in its system.

This made it impossible for the world to start resisting this creature as all their strongest residents get killed off before being able to become strong enough to defend themselves." Pausing to let the woman opposite of him process everything he had said the man takes a sip form his cup.

"So, what you want from me is to help this world defend against this creature or straight out kill it if possible?" The woman asks after a few moments of silence.

Grinning at her words the man pushes up his glasses.

"That is correct. But of course, I won't just give you the power to kill it. Instead, I want you to lead the world and its inhabitants to do it themselves." Clearly noticing the sadistic intentions underlining his words, the woman once again frowns before sighing.

"Fine, I play your game, but only under the condition that I get some upgrades, after all it isn't that much fun playing a game where losing means the end, right?" She says with a sly smile on her lips.

Returning the same smile, the old man leans back into his seat.

"Of course, as long as it doesn't ruin the game that is." His words cause a giggle to escape the woman's lips.

"So much is clear." Reaching for her cup the woman empties it and throws its out of the open window behind the middle-aged man.

"I want to-

Gallea, 300 years after the 748th reset.

The continents and oceans have calmed down after the doomsday that broke apart the world and the planets core once again start to saturate the lands and seas with mana.

With the recovering mana life also once again starts to sprout all over the world in many mystical forms.

But on top of a big boulder in the middle of wide plain with occasional trees and rocks something unexpected happened.

*Bang!*

With a supersonic boom caused by the air being abruptly pushed aside a figure appeared on top of the boulder.

The wind stirred by the explosion caused the straight black hair of the woman in suit, coat and top hat to flutter and her eerie glowing green eyes narrow a bit.

Waiting for the wind to calm down a bit the woman brushes her hair out of her face and takes a look around.

"Looks like everything went fine." She mutters when her gaze went from her surroundings onto herself.

Inspecting her black leather gloves, she nods in satisfaction.

'Appearance seems about right, now onto the more abstract and newer things I gained.' Stretching out her left arm she remained still for a while before something abnormal started to happen.

Slowly and hesitantly, her arm starts to unravel into tens of black oily tentacles with occasional teeth at their sides that indicate fanged maws and glowing green eyeballs that erratically twitch around.

Feeling her senses expand as her additional eyes start feeding colors and movements into her brain and her tentacles as a whole bringing an influence of new information's altogether, the woman staggers a bit.

'This is very disorienting. I will need some time to get used to this.' With a wryly smile on her lips her arm completely unravels before the change continues on and her chest, neck, head and legs also unravel into the same tentacles.

In the span of a few minutes the well refined looking woman turned into an eldritch abomination made up of tentacles, eyes, and mouths.

Wiggling around with her many more limbs than before the creature tries to move about in its new form only to promptly tumble down the boulder onto the vibrant green grass.

Trashing around a bit to get into somewhat upright position the creature aggressively blinks its many eyes while a nightmarish gurgling growl escapes its many fanged mouths.

'Damn, so many limbs are annoying to coordinate. I'm going to take some time to adapt to my new form and abilities, it isn't like I'm under any time pressure anyway. If what the self-proclaimed god told me is true, then there should be about a decade or so until the first few tribes are formed.' Like that the creature spent the next few days moving around the plains.

It climbs boulders and trees, sprint or rolls around the green plains while terrifying the wildlife it passes.
