The remaining twenty one including Jennifer waited for ten minutes for the helicopters to arrive, as there was none other option left. The fire had increased near the door and they could not jump through it now.
More fourteen were send back with the helicopters.
Maybe it was there good luck, but suddenly it started raining. The six in the room turned pale at the first roar of the thunder. While Jennifer calmly stared at the heavy droplets, which came cutting through the wind and falling on the railings.
The atmosphere continued changing from mild rain to the thunderous roars in the skies. Cloud hovered above them, slightly darker than they appeared at the start.
The intensity of the wind increased, leading the people out there to shut close themselves in their respective houses. As the terrace had net covered at the top of it, the droplets fell heavy on the seven people standing below the raging thunder.
Now the question was, how were they going to get out? The helicopters wouldn't be able to arrive in such a climate, given the thunderstorm which hit the city, unexpected.
But then again they would be able to get out of the door, which no longer looked like a door, but more like a crushed and burned wooden block.
The fire ceased down a little, leaving the burned things, with a foul smell.
The smell of the wet rain, along with a foul smell, made it harder for the seven people to breathe a fresh air.
The smell kept worsening, making them place their hands against their noses.
As Jennifer had her mouth covered with a black cloth, it was easier for her to get past through the burned terrace.
The people who were thrown out of the door earlier by Jennifer were standing out, probably waiting for them.
Emmett who stood in a corner, was staring at Jennifer who was drenched from head to toe.
He was wondering, how the girl had changed so much in the two years.
The last time they met, which was also the first time they came to know each other, Jennifer had shared a few of the past moments, which she wanted to forget.
The girl back then was fragile, but her gaze was the same as of now- determined. Their first encounter was the same as now- in a thunderstorm.
When he first saw her, she was drenched thoroughly.
He remembered the first thing she said to him was- You are my saviour.
His thoughts broke when Jennifer stood in front of him, looking into his eyes, which no one had dared to do up until now.
The people were scared looking directly into his black orbs.
But the tigress in front of him, didn't show a ounce of fear on her face. She looked at him with a cold look in her eyes. He didn't know why but he felt that whatever she was going to say would be something beyond his imagination.
And he was right. The moment the girl opened her mouth, he was left speechless.
Jennifer: "Useless fellow. Go and help them carry the things which weren't burned. Standing here you were doing nothing. What a coward man!" With that she left the terrace floor.
Emmett: "..."
He didn't know what to say.
She just called him coward?
Would a man sit silent, after he is accused to be a coward man.
Emmett was the same. He would definitely show her if he was the one who was coward here.
Also she called him a useless man.
He really didn't know what he should say. He was the one who had called for the helicopters.
But even after saving this many people, he was called a coward and useless man by his future girlfriend.
And the girl who had just accused him, left as if she had said nothing.
