Capítulo 2: Chapter 2: Friend?
Friday
Jin was sitting on the couch as he stares at the clock. He started getting nervous as it got closer to 12pm. Jin thought, 'No she promised she will be here. There is still time.' Jin's parents walk into the living room as they see their son looking at the clock. They werid he might be disappointed if Rose didnt show up. Just as the clock turned 12PM there was a knock at the door. Jin jumps off the couch and runs straight to the door and opens it. He sees Rise standing there wearing a plain white shirt, dark blue jean shorts, and white tennis shoes. Jin smiles and she smiles back.
"Rose! You came!" Jin said excitedly.
"Of course I came. I promised. " Rose said. She looks behind Jin and sees his parents and says, "Hi."
" Rose we're glad you came." Jin moms said. "Oh Rose where are your parents?" she asked.
"They couldn't come because they are doing a mission. Don't worry they already know what happen and where I am." Rose answered.
" Oh that's to bad. Well when they get back maybe we can have dinner together ?" Jin's mom asked. Rose said, " Ok I'll ask them when they return. " Jin grabbed Rose's hand and looked at his parents, "Can we go play now?" he asked.
" Of course." Jin's father said. Jin and Rose run into the house as Jin leads them to the backyard to play. "Be careful!" Jin's mother yelled.
---- Couple of hours later ----
Rose and Jin are running in the backyard chasing each other. Jin the jumps on Rose and they fall down laughing.
"You win!" Rose said laughing. Jin gets off of Rose and they both laid down on their backs as they look up at the sky trying to catch their breath. The backyard was a huge clearing and surrounded by the woods. As a breeze goes through the trees sway with the wind. Jin side glance Rose then quickly looked back at the sky. He seemed nervous but he sat up and ask, "Rose?" Rose answered, " Yes?" as she looked up at him.
Jin took a deep breath and said, "Umm... I w-was wondering... ugh.." He struggled to speak. Rose waited patiently. He took a big breath and hurriedly ask, " I know we haven't known each other long but will you be my friend?" Rose quickly sat up and brought her face close to his face and stared at him in his eyes as if she was looking for something. Jin just stared back and he started to blush as she kept staring at him.
Rose finally said, " No I won't be your friend." Jin looked quickly away so she wouldn't see him trying to hold back tears. 'I knew it even she doesn't want to be my friend. I'll never have a friend.' Jin thought sadly. Rose just smiled and continued, " I won't be your friend. I'll be your best friend!" Jin whipped his head and looked at Rose hoping he didn't hear wrong. As he saw her smiling and once he realized what he heard was true he smiled so brightly and hugged Rose tightly. Rose was shocked but hugged him back. They let go of each other as they hear Jin's mother yelling at them to come inside to eat something. They look back at each other and are still smiling. They get up and grab each others hand and head off toward the house.
