Capítulo 73: System being generous for once!
Leading to the vault was a flight of stairs which was connected to a path. On the walls were lamps that were able to emit lamps constantly due to the natural flow of spirit energy which is used as their energy source.
Even though this area was cleaned a few times each month, spiderwebs could still be seen on the corners of the walls. Since burning of those spiderwebs didn't require much effort, Ace made use of his flames to clean them up while on the way to where the treasures were.
Brimstone noticed this little action of Ace, but he didn't pay much heed to it and continued to lead the way. In his hand right now was the vault key which Ace decided to pass to him instead, explaining that he should open the vault personally as the master of this key.
Soon, they came to a stop. In their way was a wooden wall which has been reinforced with spirit energy multiple times to increase its durability. A lock was in the middle which kept the door sealed tightly.
Putting the key into the keyhole, Brimstone turned the key which loosened the lock as the doors opened up with a gentle push from Brimstone.
Stepping into the vault where the treasures were contained, a historical scent in the air was the first thing that Ace noticed.
Looking around, he could see racks with treasures placed on top of them, each protected by a glass casing which was of high quality to prevent the leak of any spirit energy or rust which might affect the treasure.
"Let me say this first, know your limits." Brimstone said once again for the upteemth time as Ace could only raise his head and surrender, "I understand."
The first thing that caught Ace's attention was a sword, but he soon calmed himself down after thinking twice about it. Of all things that he could possibly need, a sword was the least of his worries for now.
The longsword he received from that surreal experience would suffice for now and even in the future. As for whether it would accompany him at the peak, he would make sure that day comes regardless of how hefty the price is.
"Why? Does this longsword meet your expectations?" Brimstone asked the moment he saw Ace's eyes lit up for a moment, it was brief, but to someone like him, it was pretty obvious that this sword had caught Ace's attention.
"It's fine, I changed my mind." Ace replied briefly upon understanding that Brimstone noticed his brief moment of hesitation.
Brimstone nodded his head and suggested for Ace to continue looking around while he followed behind, his thoughts hidden behind his solemn face.
Walking past a few racks without even stopping for a moment to take a look at the treasures, Brimstone wondered for a moment if these treasures were really worth nothing to Ace.
But when he looked towards those treasures again, he realised that all of them were definitely valuable.
An elixir which would benefit any cultivator below the Saint realm in increasing their cultivation speed by ten times for three entire days.
A Saint grade sword skill which allows the cultivator to gather energy within their palm and utilise the strength of their sword law without a weapon in hand, it might not seem that useful at first thought, but in a battle, its effects could only prove to be miraculous.
It can also be used as a method for one to conceal their true identity, especially for a sword master like Ace who cultivates more than one sword law at the same time. Yet, he still ignored it as though it was only trash in its eyes.
The next item which made Brimstone almost threaten Ace to take was a blood capsule that could help him save his time in cultivating the slaughter. But of course, this is only because he doesn't know that Ace has already consumed a blood capsule more overwhelming that this in terms of both quality and future effects.
"Senior Brimstone, is this really all of the treasures that the Lim family has?" Coming to a stop after walking past the fourth rack without taking anything from the vault, Ace couldn't help but beseech this question even though he might sound disrespectful.
"Even I'm curious right now as to just what sort of treasure you're seeking considering that there were so many treasures from you to choose from. How about this, tell me what sort of item you need and I'll try my best to locate it." Brimstone suggested as Ace accepted his kind gesture.
"If possible, I would like to have any item related to the feather which you first gave me as the commission. Secondly, I would also require any item that can help a force to develop rapidly, as you know, I'm a sect master after all. Thirdly, I have a small request, please help me spread the name of the Nirvana Sect which will be in the Divine realm within a few more years."
Knowing that beating around the bush was just a waste of time to both himself and Brimstone, Ace cut to the chase and said everything he wanted to while ensuring that he wasn't going overboard.
But to Brimstone, these conditions were really unexpected considering how simple they were after Ace helped to raise the reputation of the Lim family immensely.
It might just be reputation, but this would attract more cultivators to take up the position of an honorary guest or elder in their family for a certain amount of salary or even some merchants that can help them to generate more income. The Lim family would benefit for the remaining time in his reign yet Ace was only requesting for such simple rewards.
"It seems that I've yet to understand you even up till now, to think that you're only a young boy as well. Very well then, for the item related to the phoenix feather I gave you, there's one in which you might be interested in."
Brimstone said after pondering for a short moment as he led Ace to the seventh rack while Ace scanned the treasures they were walking past.
"This is a necklace which emitted a similar aura to the phoenix feather I first gave you, I do not know of its effects, but it should be useful to you." Brimstone explained as he gently took it over and passed it to Ace carefully, as though one minor mistake might destroy a priceless treasure.
"Congratulations to the host for completing the first set of the Divine Phoenix inheritance!"
The sudden system message shocked Ace since it has already been a long time since the system even sounded out to him. Well, long enough since the last time.
"The four items received to form the first set have been gathered and the effect of the first set is as shown below."

What's wrong with the system today for it to be so generous all of a sudden? That was the first thought in Ace's mind when he received the new mission and the sudden burst of rewards.
Brimstone who was standing at the side stared in shock when Ace put on the necklace and hid it beneath his robe. His aura suddenly increased exponentially and for a moment, Brimstone was sure that Ace had grown much stronger just from that.
Still, the system was far from done as it released another function. A function which would make Ace bleed tears of blood while laughing.
