Capítulo 46: Origin seed, reunite the family
When Lucifer woke up after the first peaceful rest he had since that day hundred years ago, he was shocked by the video transmission the glowing orb showed him.
The whole battle itself was only about two minutes, yet the speed and judgement Ace made were not even meant to be possible for someone who has yet to fully awaken their foundation tower.
Even with his slaughter law, there was no way his attack power would be able to end the battle swiftly with just the amount of energy his slaughter law possessed.
This could only mean one thing, that youth had his own secrets as well and whatever it was, it was far from simple.
While Lucifer's conclusion was far from being right, he wasn't wrong either. Ace's secret was the fact that he had received an inheritance from the divine realm of an unknown source to him while his source of strength just now was from his own comprehension of life.
Leaving the room, he found Jay standing at the balcony watching the sunrise and walked towards him.
Hearing the steady footsteps from behind, Jay turned around and leaned against the balcony railing while asking, "Finally cleared your mind? What are you doing here all of a sudden?"
"I have a video transmission obtained from my glowing orb and to be honest with you, that youth shocked me with what he has done this time."
As Lucifer was telling Jay about Ace, he readied the video transmission and showed the full process to Jay who was examining the video in interest after it was fully setted up.
In the video, the full battle was captured with Ace first proving his remarkable swordsmanship, sharp senses and an incredible fitness level to have sustained for that long in such a rapid pace battle.
This feat alone was impressive and even though not many can accomplish this, there were still a few geniuses in the divine realm that were innately born with such combat strength.
Suddenly, the video came to a stop after Ace defeated the second silhouette of the four. Raising his head, Jay asked, "Is this all you got to show me?"
Even though he sounded calm, the annoyed expression on his face made Lucifer laugh and explain, "I paused the video."
"You fooled around with me?" Snatching the orb over, Jay put it back on play again as the video continued from where it left off.
In the video, Ace was currently gathering strength into his sword and judging from the commotion it caused, it was only slightly more concentrated than the previous wave of attacks, but it still didn't explain one thing, how did the two silhouettes suddenly get eliminated.
"Lucifer, if I told you that even I have no clue as to how this happened, would you believe my words." Jay expressed his thoughts with a sigh as he turned towards the horizon once again, Lucifer joining him from the side.
Chucking, Lucifer said, "Maybe it's about time people of the older generation like us prepare to step down. The shackles of our longevity, ten thousand years is the maximum lifespan we can fight for no matter how much we struggle, it's a fixed number of times we have to live before we perish."
Soon, the eight silhouettes were fully manifested, each of them wielding a different sword in their hand. Noticing that they were able to infuse various sword intents into their sword, Ace understood that the battle had only just begun.
Infusing his strengthened slaughter law into his sword, he could sense that the amount of strength it can give him has increased, not exponentially, but still significant enough to play a role in this battle,
As for his fire and frost intent, he might be able to use them when the need arises considering that it takes a much shorter time to utilise them.
Looking at the eight silhouettes that had finally ended their manifestation process alongside their weapons, Ace seized the first move and dashed towards the first silhouette.
The other silhouettes noticed this and immediately rushed up to support the first silhouette, only for Ace to leap over all of them by striking towards the ground with his sword to generate momentum and height as he approached the silhouette that was slow to react and left behind.
With a spinning slash, he pushed the silhouette backwards as he rushed up and landed another flurry of attacks that were being blocked. In the end, the silhouettes held the upper hand with their cultivation base advantage.
Seeing that the other seven silhouettes were nearing him, Ace slowed down his movements intentionally, the tip of his right foot kicking off the ground as he skidded past the silhouette he was fighting.
Infusing his slaughter law into his sword, he turned around and slashed towards the silhouette he just skidded past.
"Imbalanced Harmony!"
Even though it wasn't used with the fire and frost intents this time, its strength was only stronger than ever since his heart doesn't agree with the way of slaughtering for the sake of it.
*Swoosh*
Even with one silhouette falling to his sword, the battle was still far from over, his opponents right now were full of energy while his stamina was already greatly depleted in that quick succession of movements.
"It seems that I have to make full use of that sword move again…" Ace mumbled to himself with his eyes closed, allowing the silhouettes to approach him as he gave them a brittle smile.
He wasn't even at the final segment which Lucifer had demanded as the minimum, yet he was already falling before that segment of the so-called test, will hehe unable to prove himself?
"Let the past be shattered. Let the nightmares be broken. Let the enjoyment be forgotten. Now, I'm who I am and those who oppose me shall fall to my sword." Ace was mumbling to himself again, the serious expression on his face showed no fear, his body was hurting, but he had to wait.
He had to wait for all of them to get closer to him, to end this battle in this one move. Since the next second was the future, then let this sword of his be the present before it becomes history.
From about ten steps away, the silhouettes quickly approached, getting into position to launch their attacks when they were three steps away.
"Shattered Memories."
Ace said in a cold voice as he executed a spinning slash that easily eliminated six silhouettes, yet there was one which was actually still standing.
It actually revealed a sinister human face and when it opened its mouth, its words sent chills down Ace's spine as he collapsed onto the ground.
"That Lucifer actually tried to make use of me to create silhouettes dummies, but does he think that I have served him loyally just because I've remained silent in the past hundreds of years?" The silhouette questioned, only for Ace to break the silence.
"It doesn't have anything to do with me, if you really want to take revenge, you should leave while you still can before he realises that you've already regained control of this dimension.
"Since he was the one who sent you here, then I shall kill you first as the first step of my revenge…���
"Don't you even think about it!" Right when the silhouette was about to strike down, Lucifer descended from above into this dimension as a violet beam pierced through the body of the silhouette who was staring at Lucifer in shock.
"There's no way that you would already be in the Great Saint realm! Weren't you just a Saint hundreds of years ago? How did your cultivation progress this quickly!" The silhouette screamed in anger and disbelief as helpless filled its face.
"I guess, my only fate now is death isn't it? If that's the case, then allow me to do one last thing."
The silhouette begged with plea in its eyes which made Lucifer soften his heart for a moment and agree, "Don't try to pull any tricks or I'll make sure to give you a fate worse than death."
The silhouette nodded its head in gratitude as it walked towards Ace, "Young fella, please accept my origin seed and unite the rest of my loved ones with me one day. Only then will the true gods of this universe be reborn…"
Before Ace could even react, the shadow origin had already entered his body in the form of a seed and implanted itself within his developing Foundation tower.
"Trust me, both the leaders of the humans and demon beasts have separated my family from me to prevent the birth of the true god who will change the world."
The next moment, Ace lost consciousness.
