As soon as we went into the doors to the Radio Station, the smell of coffee wafted our noses—and I would've railed Rin on the spot since she came in with a Cuppa Joe and handed it to me. But yeah, looking at everyone else present, they definitely had gone for an all-nighter and hadn't had a proper rest since.
But yeah, aside from the thousands of bodies mixed with dismembered parts everyone else had been hauling from the Manila Bay, a mix of dead sea creatures—mostly fish—were also picked up and taken apart.
And upon their closer inspection, the ones that looked normal died from the onslaught of sonar pings while the ones that looked off died from ingesting human chunks, mistaking them for fish food.
[It just looked really… eugh… the flesh is a dead giveaway, pun intended, mind you— but yeah, it's quite easy to know tainted meat from the edible ones.]
"Another silver lining, huh?"
