Her eyes were glued onto him as he stood and continued his menial tasks. He wasn't one for words, and though reserved, he spoke through his demeanor and actions. She understood he meant no harm.
Had she had time, she would have wanted to study him further. For you see, through her eyes, living creatures and special objects alike have auras she could perceive. The man glowed a brilliant gold, a color she knew of but had yet to witness. In this world, she is a seer of auras. Along with those auras are memories and emotions she may absorb. How well one can is up to their training and innate talent.
Her mind was riddled with questions but fear overruled her curiosity. Whether nightmare or reality, she was certain the beast would soon emerge to take her life. Staying in one place for too long would put her at risk. A day had already gone by while she was being nurtured back to health. With every hour more, worry and fear consumed her. When she grew weary, her dreams were filled with chaos. She needed to continue her journey. She needed to leave.
