Wells saw that the Lord of the City of Dawn was establishing a foothold on the ramparts. He was not going to give William a chance. As an earth element shield-bearer, he leaped and emitted an orange sword energy attack towards William's head.

William crossed his blades defensively to defuse the incoming sword energy. He crashed back.

Wells braced himself with his shield while he backed up casually. He rapidly swung his sword with his right hand and gazed at William. "You've come alone, and yet you want to take over the ramparts?"

"Wouldn't it be enough if I just killed you?"
