"Your Majesty, this humble servant wants to cut ties with those people who living in the current General Residence now." Bai Xiang repeated the same wish.

"General Bai, are you serious about that? Do you know filial piety or not?" Emperor Liu Man shouted.

Not only the emperor, but even all the ministers were shocked to hear Bai Xiang's wish. Cutting ties meant he would be unfillial to his parent. 

"General Bai, what are you saying?" Emperor Liu Man said.

Emperor Liu Man thought Bai Xiang was joking.

"Your Majesty, I am saying that I want to cut ties with the people." Bai Xiang stated his wish once again.

"General Bai, they are your family!" Emperor Liu Man smacked the table in front of him. 

All of the ministers quickly bowed down and asked the emperor to calm down.

"Your Majesty, please calm down." The prime minister, Miao An Gang kowtowed.
