Capítulo 119: Ominous

"Que!? Iris is in jail…?!" Ernestina couldn't control her overwhelming gasp as Edy called to tell her the news.

"Since when? How? What did she do?!" Ernestina was impatiently yelling at Edy for answers when all she could hear over the phone was his sniffing and muffled crying.

"Ay, Edy, why are you crying?" 

Through his tears, Edy sadly responds, "it's all my fault…It's my fault…."

Ernestina was confused when she asked, "what are you talking about, Edilberto? Answer me, how is it your fault?"

"Iris got stopped for driving under the influence of marijuana, and they found her record. She has accumulated millions of dollars worth of unpaid traffic tickets and citations. Finally, they arrested her and brought her in. She's going to be transferred to a jail cell. Right now, she's spending her first night behind bars." He starts sobbing even harder at the thought that one of his daughters is suffering in prison.
