Capítulo 36: Accident
"Brother?" Jiang Yan approached him and saw that Xia Yue had already awoken and her condition was finally back to normal. She became excited and quickly took both of Xia Yue's hands, saying tearfully, "Sister Yue, finally you're fine!"
"Yes, sister Yue. We almost..." Xia Yue started to speak, but Jiang Chen quickly interrupted her, fearing that she might faint in shock. "Xiao Yan, let your sister rest first," he said, pulling his sister away from Xia Yue and turning his head back in her direction.
"Xia Yue, close your eyes and try to chant the word 'DRAW' in your mind," he instructed, before turning back to his sister. "You also try to chant it. Quickly wake up that girl and tell her to do the same thing. After that, let sister Yue rest first, then pull that girl over. We will talk about all the things that happened earlier. Don't let Xia Yue know what happened first."
Jiang Yan looked at him in confusion and asked, "Why?"
"
"Just do it. Then wake that woman up," he said.
"Her name was Su Mei, brother," she pouted her lovely mouth and looked at him discontentedly.
"Quick."
"What did you say? Her name was?" Jiang Chen pulled his sister's shoulder when he realized that the name of the girl he was pointing out was also Su Mei. He remembered that when he was still living in the house of his biological parents, he was engaged to a girl named Su Mei. Although they never met, he had heard that she was extremely beautiful and loved to study medicine. The strange thing was that he never managed to see her shadow, but his parents told him that she had already seen him several times. However, he was oblivious.
"Brother, her name was Su Mei and she was the surgeon who treated you when we rushed you to the hospital. She even helped us bring you here, taking the initiative to assist us as soon as she heard your name was Jiang Chen," she explained.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to confirm what he had just heard. "So, you're saying that Su Mei conducted the operation on me?" he asked his sister.
She nodded in response.
Letting out a heavy sigh, he instructed them, "Okay, let's get to what I asked earlier."
Two minutes passed, and his sister and Xia Yue both looked at him, their eyes filled with questions, waiting for him to explain.
"Xia Yue, I will explain everything to you later. Rest for now, we can talk later," he said before walking back to her bedside. Placing his fingers on her temple, she quickly fell asleep.
"What did you do to her?" his sister asked.
"I just helped her sleep faster. If I didn't, she would have questioned me too. Right now, she's not ready to hear everything. Let her rest for a while," he replied.
"Okay. The voice said that I was given a Grade G tranquilizer," Jiang Yan informed him.
"Let me see what it looks like. Go wake up Su Mei, our time is running out," he instructed his sister.
Jiang Yan tried to wake up Su Mei by nudging her shoulder and calling her name, but she wasn't waking up. "Brother! Su Mei isn't waking up. Her pulse seems to have stopped beating!" she exclaimed in panic.
"What?!" Jiang Chen rushed over to check her pulse, and to his shock, it had indeed stopped. However, he felt a faint breath when he put his fingers to her nose. As he was about to check her chest, a wormhole suddenly appeared above Su Mei and sucked her inside before disappearing just as quickly.
Jiang Chen could only look on helplessly as Su Mei was rapidly pulled into the wormhole. After it vanished, they looked at each other in despair. "It's over," he said.
Jiang Chen looked at his sister and quickly pulled her to his side. His heart was raging with fire. The things that had been happening lately were all related to him. He was confused and did not know what to do next.
Jiang Yan hugged her brother and started crying, "Br-br-brother, what was that? Why was Sister Mei sucked inside the wormhole?"
But no one answered her. When she lifted her head, she saw Jiang Chen's eyes turning from blue to green, then red, and finally pure black. The cycle continued and his body started to change as well.
She felt her body being squeezed by Jiang Chen's arms. She tried to free herself from his grip, but her struggles were in vain. She could only cry in agony while trying to call her brother.
"Brother!"
"Brother!"
"B-bro-brother!"
"Roar!" A loud roar came from Jiang Chen's mouth, and his eye color slowly returned. He barely managed to release his sister in time, or else she would have been smashed to pieces.
"Cough! Cough! Cough!" Jiang Yan coughed repeatedly and gasped for breath. She felt like she was about to die. The lingering smell of death slowly came to her body. Luckily, her brother released her at the last minute, or else she would definitely have died.
He looked at his sister's appearance, who was coughing non-stop and whose face was pale. He was again under a strange energy and almost lost himself to anger, confusion, and reality.
The reality that another important person to him was gone.
He quickly reached his sister and checked her situation. "Little Yan, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I'm really sorry!"
Right now, he collapsed. He didn't know what was happening to his body. He could only repeatedly ask for forgiveness.
"Cough!" For the last time, Jiang Yan coughed and looked at her brother, who was in confusion and anxiety. "Brother, what happened? You almost killed me."
"I don't know either. The moment I saw her being sucked inside the wormhole, my mind became blank, and I felt extreme anger." His body was trembling, and he was having cold sweats while trying to explain to his sister.
