Capítulo 182: Brenna Vs Ethan

Editor: Phema2241

After the battle, Ash versus Gary was finished. The next day, Ethan had his own battle facing off against Brenna, the aggressive trainer from Johto who was aggressive to people but was sweet to Pokémon. She had made a lot of noise on the first day and had battled through plenty of competitors blasting her way through with her Pokémon. Her main Pokémon, Typhlosion and Arcanine, were dominating the ring in the fiery style.

After seeing Liam's battle, she didn't have enough confidence to go up against him but that didn't mean she feared the others. She wanted to take down Gary, Ash and Ethan as they were the main competitors left.

When they finally arrived, it was Ethan versus Brenna. The announcer announced the start of the battle as he motioned for the two to get started. Ethan looked at Brenna and Brenna looked back as she said, "Go on. Send out your Pokémon." Ethan could only shrug and then called out "Suicune."

Brenna grinds her teeth from frustration. Right off the bat, he's sending his strongest Pokémon. Brenna looked at Ethan with disgust as she said, 'How gentlemanly of you to send out your strongest Pokémon first. Well, I'm going to weaken him and then use the rest of my Pokémon to wipe you out."

Ethan shrugged once again as he said, "Are you going to bring out your Pokémon or what?" Brenna gritted her teeth once again in frustration and she sent out her Pokémon Scizor.

"Quickly Scizor, let's use your speed to get ahead of the game." Brenna just called out Agility and Scizor started gaining speed, but Suicune saw through all that and used Agility too and quickly appeared before Scizor who was surprised by the speed she was reaching. Water could be seen splashing with every step Suicune took as he opened his mouth and blasted a Hydro Pump.

Scizor quickly dived away not trying to receive the attack head on and was successful but the next moment Suicune had used Head Butt as he crashed into Scizor who was blasted away as he landed on the ground. But luckily, Scizor was a Steel type, so his defense was quite strong as he was able to take the hit, but it did a lot of damage as Suicune was still a high-level Legendary Pokémon. Scizor was only level 120 compared to Suicune who was level 210.

"Scizor uses Slash," said Brenna. As Suicune jumped back to dodge it, using that opportunity Scizor got back up and charged towards Suicune but suddenly, Suicune started doubling as he used double teams confusing Scizor. Brenna did not give up and she called out her own double team. Both Pokémon started to strike each other's doubles until Scizor was knocked out on the floor from a Bite attack that Suicune had unleashed.

"Suicune is the winner!" exclaimed the announcer.

Brenna gritted her teeth as she mumbled under her breath, "Damn cheaters and their Legendary Pokémon. Fine, we can play that game. Go Togetic."

In the next moment, out of the red light, a Flying and Normal type Pokémon Togetic came out and seeing it, Suicune was surprised but not much. Ethan, seeing this, also called out to Suicune and told him to flood the battlefield with water. Suicune blasted a Hydro Pump in the air as it covered the whole sky causing Togetic to panic as water started dropping from the sky.

Ethan then said, "Suicune, use Ice Beam." And as his words fell, the water that was coming down froze making it become ice shards as he quickly moved out of the way. Togetic on the other hand, was floating in the air and having a hard time dodging the small ice spikes and a few of them had cut through her and stabbed her , turning her into a porcupine full of ice spikes.

"Now that she has been injured, use Ice Beam on her." Togetic had a hard time dodging this one as she was already injured causing her to get knocked out after receiving the attack head on. The whole field was filled with ice spikes and shards, but this is what Ethan wanted as it will make his battles easier going forward.

Brenna had other ideas as she summoned her next Pokémon Typhlosion.

Typhlosion! Brenna called out his name and quickly ordered him to use flamethrower to burn away all the ice shards within the field as it turned into liquid

Ethan was happy about this as he was trying to figure out a way to turn the ice into water so that Suicune could be able to use it. Now that Breena had wasted her Pokémon's energy on just doing that Ethan was going to use that to his advantage. "Suicune used the water to slide and quickly used a compressed Water Gun attack to quickly finish this," said Ethan. Suicune was sliding on the water speeding from one corner to another and Typhlosion couldn't keep up with the speed and there was water all around him which made him frustrated as he didn't like water much as he was a Fire type.

But then suddenly, he felt a sharp pain on his stomach as he was blasted away. He didn't even see that attack coming. "What happened?" Breena yelled out as Typhlosion was on the ground and in the pool of water as steam formed and he was knocked out. Brenna was getting frustrated and said, "This was not fair." Although she knew, she wasn't one to back down as she aggressively pointed at Ethan saying, "I dare you to put that Pokémon away and face me like a true trainer."
