Capítulo 29: SWEET TRICKS
"Thanks, mom. I will remember this." Jessica said with a bright smile. Suddenly the phone in her pocket started ringing. She pulled it out and looked at the contact info. It was Ron. Looking apologetically at Mother Smith she turned to receive the call.
She walked away and Mother Smith looked at her back before she finally said, "Come out, Steve. I know you are here."
At her warning, Steve stepped out of his hiding place. The instant he was in front of her, she pulled her ear and Steve shrieked with pain.
"Who were you hiding from? What do you need? Maybe I forgot to put some more senses in your brain. You deserve a beating for sure. Today in the garden too you teased Jessica that's so bad."
Steve tried to free himself from his mother's eagle grip as he said in pain, "Ah… Ah… Mom, please be a bit merciful after all I am your own son, your beloved son. And it was just fun to tease her. I swear on that."
"You should not even tease her for fun. She is a good girl, you should treasure her well or you will lose her to someone else." Mother Smith said as she withdrew her hand which was pulling his ear. Her voice held the firmness. Steve was sure that his mother had already excepted Jessica as her daughter. He turned to the way Jessica had left and a small smile appeared on his face. "I will treasure her as my precious treasure."
"That's good…" Mother Smith said before she turned around and walked inside. She had a mischievous grin on her face. 'Time to execute the plan…' She rubbed her hands in excitement.

After a while, Jessica walked into the living area. She had just talked to Ron who had invited her and Steve for his birthday bash the day after tomorrow. She was excited and promised to come, but now the main problem was to convince Steve.
She walked in while thinking about various excuses to invite Steve. Her train of thought was broken when Mother Smith called her out. She stood n her tracks and saw the smiling face of Mother Smith.
"I will show you the way to your room. It's late and you should have some rest."
Jessica was confused was she not going to stay in the guest room that she stayed at last time. "Mom, am I not going to stay n the room as the last time?"
"No way. You are my daughter so you are no guest. You could stay in the room on the second floor. Come I will show you." Saying this Mother Smith instantly hooked her hand and dragged her to the stairs and in front of the room.
Examining the door, Jessica still could not see through the tricks of the sly Mother Smith. She slowly opened the doorknob after some persuasion from Mother Smith. She was awestruck when she entered the room and wanted to run and hide, but failed as she was pushed inside and the door was already closed from outside.
On the other side of the door, Mother Smith was smiling a satisfactory smile on her achievement. 'I could soon get them married and hold a grandchild… Hehehe…' She walked to her room still giggling like a little girl.
Inside the room, Jessica was in a state of blankness. She studied her environment with her eyes popping out.
The room was in a shade of black and Grey. There was a king-sized bed in the middle of the room with two side tables on each side. Each table had a photo frame with multiple pics. There was also a huge family pic in the middle of the bed. There was a sliding window on the right end of the room which was slightly opened and the curtains waved at the light breeze. The room was lightly lit and one could hear the sound of water from the bathroom which was just next to the room.
Jessica was staring around when her eyes met with two beautiful blue eyes. Steve had walked out of the bathroom with a towel in his hand and another one around his waist. He froze when he saw the girl. His cheeks flushed red on the eye contact.
He was clearly embarrassed. He moved back in the bathroom and after a second again stepped out of the bathroom in a bathrobe. He directed his questioning gaze on Jessica who had seated herself on the huge bed. She raised her shoulders and shook her head negatively.
Seeing her reaction he walked to the side table and picked up his phone. He opened his contacts and went to the one which was saved as 'sweety GF'. He frowned before changing it back to 'mom'. He saw the recent message and knew what had just happened. He gave an evil smirk before giving his phone to Jessica.
Jessica's face flushed red. The message said- 'Try to conceal your wife using your charms. Impress her with your skills. She will surely marry you soon. Waiting for good new zzz…'
When he saw her reaction he wanted to tease her badly and he even did. He lowered his head to her ear and whispered, "mom is so interested to hear good news. Why don't we try making one for her?" Hearing him her ears turned redder. She gave him a light push and rushed into the bathroom. She could hear his chuckles from behind. This made her even more embarrassed. She rushed into the bathroom and bolted the door.
